Apparently trying to control your partner or checking on them every second is a form of OCD.
Ever since I realized that I had BPD and OCD, it's been easier to deal with because OCD has different coping and treatment methods.

I channeled my trauma into making YouTube videos!
When it comes to having BPD, going through a mental breakdown is every day if the week. It in order to cope we need distractions to snap us back into reality. Watching horror is a great way to balance out intensity within ourselves. If we are scared in real life, then what's on screen can balance that scared feeling somewhere else.
I have always felt comfort with horror films because of this and I think a lot of do too.

How I catch myself splitting:
-extreme defensiveness ("YEAH WELL I DON'T CARE, YOURE A FUCKING BITCH")
-realizing makes me wish I was dead
-consequences for my actions driving me to suicide because I am evil for being rude, defensive, and not innocent 100% of every moment of everyday

Apparently, after a suicide attempt, there should not be any problem solving coping mechanisms.
And to prevent suicidal ideation, using avoidant strategies helps decrease it.
