Soonyoung was never one to share his troubles with you. He liked that he could give you the best version of himself even if it meant that he would smile through the heartache he was feeling at this very moment. He could tell that you were watching his every step and so he tried to move as smoothly and as gracefully as possible.

But you could tell that he missed a beat or two. You could certainly tell the way his face faltered when he didn’t execute the last move perfectly.

Soonyoung paused while the music continued to echo around the practice room. He tried to smile at you through the mirror but when you tilted your head to the side and gave him a small smile, his eyes watered.

You walked over to him and despite his sweaty figure, you engulfed his tired body in your arms. “‘S okay, you’re just a little tired today soons,” you reassured him. His shoulders slumped and he let his emotions go.

“I’m so exhausted.”

“I know which is why we’re gonna call it a day okay?”. You let him go from your embrace to walk over over to the other side where his phone was. You paused the music and he turned off the speakers.

“Let’s get you home okay?” He nodded, and a sudden warm feeling spreads through his chest.

“I love you,” he murmured when you take his hand in yours and you couldn’t help the tiny smile that grows on your lips.

“I love you too.”
