Hi! I'm Riley. (she/her) 20. I made this after talking to a friend who recently made a tumblr for studying, and it inspired me. I'm hoping to work on my study habits and improve on my overall work ethic and procrastination. I enjoy a plethora of things, including reading, anime, video games, crafting, and stationary.
We looked inside some of the posts by booksandsucculents and here's what we found interesting.

I’ve never actually blocked anything before, but from what I’ve seen online, it seems that a lot of people soak their item in soapy water before pressing out most of the water and then pinning. Would highly recommend looking at some blogs on this!
(Love the colors on this, so beautiful!)
Tried blocking my work for the first time! Unfortunately, as soon as I unpinned it it curled right back up. I think its bc I just sprayed it with water instead of soaking it.
Pretty simple, yet colorful, monthly spread for April. I’m getting down to my last few weeks of the semester, and have far more projects and exams than I’m used to, so the grind is real here.
It’s been so nice having the warmer weather, and inspired the colors for this month, as spring is upon us and it grows warmer every day. Hope everyone is enjoying their studies and trying their best, but make sure to take time for yourself, stay hydrated, and get some good sleep. You can do this!
Hey everyone! I just made a group chat. I’ve found that sharing all the things I accomplished in a day can be incredibly motivating, and I thought it would be great to share our daily accomplishments here
I’m usually very terrible about time management and procrastination (like last night I had to scramble to finish about 3 classes of work in less that 4 hours before midnight). I’m at the point where I’m sick and tired of this mindset, and am actively working to fix it to make my semester go much smoother.
This may seem like something small, but is a huge win for me; I usually leave watching lectures and taking notes for human physiology for sunday nights, but this week I’ve printed out everything and am starting the lectures Monday morning, and have already completed some other work for the week.
If you have any great tips for improving procrastination and increasing motivation, please please share, I would greatly appreciate it! Hope everyone is having a great Monday/week.

Marie Sklodowska Curie’s notebooks containing her scientific research, which are Radioactive and must be stored in a lead-lined box in the Bibliothèque Nationale. Curie’s corpse is also radioactive. Her coffin is lined in an inch of lead. Both will remain radioactive for 1,500+ years.
I had a lot of fun making this month’s spread, and took a different route with making the calendar and the spacing. It was very nice to just forget for a while and have fun being creative.
So my university cancelled our spring break for pandemic reasons, and is instead giving us “wellness days”, that being wednesday-friday of this week. This just means that classes and zooms are cancelled for those days. As you can see, not many of my professors decided to follow any of what those wellness days are supposed to emulate, and gave us a full week’s of modules, albeit slightly less than usual. I will still be enjoying the nice weather we are having for the next week or two.
28.2.2021 // Here’s my current online classes setup :) i take lecture notes on my ipad, while the lecture’s playing on my laptop - i have to say my neck pain’s improved a lot since i got myself a separate keyboard and moved the screen a bit higher and further away!
Yeah! They do a whole variety of subjects, English and history, along with many subjects of science and math too. Very helpful to have someone other than a professor explain a topic, may give some better understanding that way.

9. Resources. What do you use to learn? Videos, textbooks, exposure to materials, etc.
I actually like to watch Crash Course videos as supplemental material. I have a lot of biology classes, so having Hank re-explain it to me is always helpful after watching lectures and reading any textbook readings.
Ah! I absolutely love it, I’m the kind of person who needs everything laid out on one page to look at, lest I forget an assignment that wasn’t written down. ‘Daily’s’ don’t very much work for me, so I opt instead to just write the whole weeks assignments separated by class, and use that for reference.

11. Planning. What is your planning method? Digital, bullet journal, sticky notes, phone memos?
I’ve been loving my bullet journal, I started at the beginning of the last semester and its been working wonderfully for me since. I also am obsessed with sticky notes, I have dozens littered around my room with random lists, whether it be to do lists, shopping lists, or scheduling out my day.
12. Snack time. What is your favourite thing to eat when studying?
Oh man, am I a snacker. I like a lot of things, but fruit is my favorite. I usually just make a little mix of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries and snack on them with some morning coffee.
