~𝐋𝐮𝐥𝐮 𝐃𝐮𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬~
𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
The Lulu Duologues is a collection of author's insightful conversation with Lulu, his parrot, a personification of author's alter-ego. Lulu has brought alive many dilemmas and questions that has been residing in the author's mind. As we read further Lulu really grows on you with wisdom.
Deep insights covering wide range of topics this is a thought provoking book that cares to ask bold questions on the face of social paradox and points out the atrocities behind each rosy picture of today's so called civilised human society. At places it's humorous, making satirical remarks and throwing light-hearted jibes, in others it's deep and concerning.
Although it's written in conversational style the way it's written is unique, there's a mood lifting vibe in each passing stanza with Lulu's aplomb remarks that brought smirk in my face while reading. I must say author's choice of a bird instead of a human friend is a wise decision, at first it struck me odd but later I understood it's very much appropriate to attribute a parrot in this situation, it made the storytelling more interesting and enthralling because Lulu can see with his bird's eye view what we humans fail to see or simply ignore.
I enjoyed this book however there are some stories that didn't intrigue me much, it may interest others. Beginner-friendly book. In a nutshell a simple, powerful approach.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there.
I did not die.

~THE EXTRA IN ORDINARY~
OVERVIEW:
“Stories lived yet untold,
Are worth their weight in gold,
To those with eyes willing to see,
The Extra in Ordinary"
Everyone begins their journey as an ordinary person and no one is born with extraordinary skills or mindsets but ordinary people perform extra ordinary things in their life which we often ignore or deny to acknowledge. This book is one such collection of true stories of people possessing something extra in their traits.
REVIEW:
The Extra in Ordinary is a collection of random encounters and experiences of the author with personalities and events that can't be labeled as ordinary as they possess some extra charm to them.
This book has 40+ stories segregated in three different categories. Part 1 is dedicated to more dark and intense events that will lead the reader to more darkest secrets of human mind and build the perception of difference of Black & White from Grey. Most of these real life incidents reveals the twisted mindset of humans that can leave you in awe. And in this part I felt the creativity in author's writing is more profound and vivid with apt amout of gloominess in the writing.
Author has dedicated the second part to some funny incidents of life where the writing gets really light-hearted and jovial. This part has that cheery atmosphere that can lessen the escalated tension from the previous part.
Last but not the least in the inspirational part we get to see some inspirational stories. Here the writing gets really slow, I was feeling a little distracted because of it but there are some really good daily life inspirational stories which we seldom notice.
Overall this book is filled with stories of compassion, honesty, hardship, love and the darkest side of humans with noteworthy writing style. I enjoyed reading this book. Would recommend this to everyone.
MY RATING: 5/5
