Wait I’m sorry you’re telling me there’s more animal pov stories ? What is ‘BtdatBM’????
anon, you're immediately promoted to my favorite person in the world.
BtdatBM is the tag for a novel about a junkyard dog turned riot dog turned host body for an indigenous Caribbean death god. It's also a story about a hot dad Latino veteran who can talk to ghosts and wishes he couldn't. It's also also about an orphan refugee child who witnesses a murder while in an ICE detention center, and therefore also also about the ICE agent who wants the sole witness to said murder to be very dead.
There's also folk saints and a retired art thief who sells high end forged religious artifacts about of her middle of nowhere botanica.
But mostly it's a book about a dog and his people.
Like Air Bud! but with more murder.
or: a dog, a death god, and a DILF down in Miami have to save a kid, stop some murders, and help some down on their luck saints.
it's briefly on pause due to my beloved dog dying because, you know. the death and dog book is trickier to finish when you're in the middle of dog death grief.

2023 Bucket
Tumblr media
This is a bucket. Anything you don't want to take with you into 2024, feel free to drop it in the bucket. I will be burning the contents (with Hellfire) at exactly 11:59pm on New Year's Eve.
You don't have to type anything, at all. Just reblog the bucket and your intentions will be known by the universe. Or the bucket. Or whatever you like.

never be embarrassed around me when it comes to lost files or technical difficulties or uncertainties or past deadlines or long absences! I commit all these errors CONSTANTLY. I once lost an editor because I talked up my current project and promised to e-mail a finished proposal and then I accidentally sent a file with a name like [title_final].docx instead of [title_final_FINAL].docx and so I gave her a bunch of gibberish and she has never spoken to me again looooooooooooool.
so I probably didn't send you anything, or I sent you the wrong format, or god knows what, and even if I didn't, you can always ask again. so!
do you want the version I would have sent then? @muffinbitch has read this one and we're still friends so it was at least okay. OR
do you want the lightly revised version that fixes some typos and has one added emotional fight of tremendous importance (to me)? it changes nothing plot wise but I think it's very cutting so I'm proud of it.
theoretically the third option is to see my next finished version and that might give me motivation to actually do it if you give me an arbitrary deadline of more than a week, less than three months.
and in what file format? I also use calibre for everything so it's easy.
all versions are I think... 82K words? ish? maybe slightly longer for some.
edit: also "the rival," the aristocrat, is not much of a rival so the description is misleading. but i think you know what the book is actually about.
love how in the historical romance world, both straight and gay, your career options as a man are duke, earl, crime boss, and pirate. that's it.
