So the finale is going to be a double episode, right? 👀 I mean, how can it not be?
Why would they make the final season only have 15 episodes when the others had 16?
Like, come on! We need more! 😫

Some CX-2 thoughts before tomorrow’s episode:
I have been on the Tech is CX-2 train for a while now and each episode we go without any answers or a reveal makes me more and more nervous that the writers are just playing a big joke on us. I’m actually really scared that it will turn out to be some random person after all the similarities we’ve been seeing throughout the episodes that are practically screaming and throwing it in our faces who he is.
Like, why would they need to disguise CX-2’s voice if he’s Cody, or Dogma, or any other clone?
Why give him so much screen time and attention if he ISN’T someone important?
And if he IS someone important, wouldn’t it need to be someone important to the Batch and Omega in order for it to be a shock-value and significant reveal?
The Batch might be shocked about Cody but Omega doesn’t know Cody so it lessens the betrayal. Same with Dogma. He doesn’t have significance to the Batch or Omega either.
Which leaves Tech, or rando guy who is just there to mess up the Batch’s day.
If it is rando guy who isn’t important or plays no significance, then that’s a lot of work to go through just for nothing. It’s also kinda mean to drop the hints and tease and be evasive about Tech’s status just to leave him still dead and gone. To me, it would feel like they lied intentionally just to keep us Tech fans engaged and watching, filling us with false hope so we don’t stop watching.
If that’s the case I’ll be genuinely upset and a little hurt, not gonna lie. I’ll still like the show but it will be tainted for me a bit.
Just my two cents 🤷🏼‍♀️

I love this!!
And yes, I was just thinking about how CX-2 was given orders to take the Batch out or “eliminate” them if they got in his way. Well, Hunter stealing a gunship is definitely “in his way.” But he didn’t shoot Hunter, he shot the pilot so the ship would go down over water, no less, making it easier for Hunter to survive. He also said through his comm when he was looking for Omega that he “neutralized” the other 2 clones but not the 3rd. Neutralize and eliminate are not the same. Something a clone as smart as Tech would definitely know.
Great analysis and points and I so hope this is where it’s headed!!
Thoughts/speculation on The Bad Batch:
Weirdly, I am actually more hopeful for a positive ending now than I was before Point of No Return.
(Episode spoilers, discussion, and speculation below cut)
So, this is coming from a point of being pretty sure that A) CX-2 is Tech (because who the fuck else in this series says 'domicile", literally nobody, I was on the fence until that tbh) and B) that Omega is Force-sensitive (and that they've been dropping hints about it since Season 1). Even if she's not Force-sensitive, she's incredibly intuitive and has an amazing mind for strategy, which has been repeatedly proven.
But minor things that could have been guesses on her part - identifying Cid, calling out Crosshair while they're in the brig, bonding with Batcher, and in a way never giving up on Crosshair - also could be manifestations of a minor and untrained connection to the Force. If we do see indisputable Force abilities from her, my guess is they'll manifest in minor prescience, sensing the emotions of others, and bonding with creatures, since those are all things she's already shown. (I don’t think she has Jedi potential, but it bears repeating that not every Force-sensitive is or needs to be a Jedi! [Or a Sith.])
And Omega - tactical prodigy who can (probably) sense the emotions/general thoughts of others, is alone in the shuttle with CX-Tech. Possibly with some form of tracker - she and Crosshair knew she’d be scanned. She gave up one comm and wasn’t scanned again. Not having fallback plans would be unlike them, even if those plans are sometimes very much by the seat of their pants.
Because the Batch had plans for everything and Tech made her learn them all.
Now, what sticks out to me about CX-2 in this episode is that he has notably, despite orders, very deliberately avoided killing any of the Batch members during the invasion of Pabu.
It would have been no trouble whatsoever for him to blow up the Marauder a moment later, when Wrecker was inside of it. And he made the decision to shoot the pilot of the gunship - in the neck, through the cockpit window - an arguably harder shot than Hunter, who was in the open bay, and easily capable of bailing out and swimming back to shore when the ship crashed.
And he's taken Omega in the shuttle with him, with no other guards, and left her unrestrained in the cockpit aside from a pair of binders. And while she’s a child, and was pressed into docility during her time on Tantiss, she’s still a clone, one who’s been trained and tested by the team that boasted a 100% success rate until Order 66.
And, if CX-2 is Tech and the storyline is mirroring itself, then let’s go back to 2x09, The Crossing, where they’re trying to extract ipsium from Cid’s mine. Omega is struggling, Tech is set against his family, and quiet heart-to-hearts are had as Tech and Omega sit together in the blue-lit dark, separated from their brothers - which leads to reunions, solutions, and escape.
So - it may not be the devastating reveal of a helmet pulled from an unconscious-or-worse body that I originally imagined - it may be quiet, knowing questions and a helmet calmly lifted off and set on the console to look at his sister with his own eyes.
...of course, whether he still knows her or not is the question.

THIS!! I’ve been thinking the same thing since that Hemlock goggles episode. All you could salvage? Like did he freaking disintegrate? Where’s the rest of him? And why haven’t they checked the recording on the goggles yet?!
Forget about everything else for a second. CX-2, all the "hints", even DOMICILES.
might put my clown shoes and nose on for a second here (but then again, i've been wearing them all season)
Cause literally the MAIN reason i still think tech is alive is the damn goggles scene with hemlock from the s2 finale... Like,, I don't even have to go further than that.
Hemlock said "this was all I could salvage". Let's, for the sake of the argument, say Tech really is dead and Hemlock is telling the truth here. HOW WOULD THAT MAKE ANY SENSE? He was wearing his helmet when he fell, which goes OVER his goggles. We can clearly see here that the strap isn't broken or ripped or anything. These were clearly removed by an outside person, NOT during the fall.
You really wanna tell me the Empire went down there and dug through whatever was left of both carriage and... ya know... tech just to rub it in TBB's faces? NAHHH I'm not buying that, sorry.
So the logical conclusion is that they
a) went back SPECIFICALLY cause they had reasonable belief that Tech was alive (in which case we have every right to clown too cause if they can do it, so can I😤)
OR
b) Tech was captured and they removed the glasses after he arrived on an Imperial base/ship/prison so HE IS ALIVE

Generational Misunderstandings:
I was texting with my mom and we got into it a bit when I was explaining that I’m not trying to be unsocial or single my whole life I’m just literally exhausted and trying to find balance between work and life in my adulthood.
To her, I’m a hermit who holes up in my apartment and hisses at the sun but in reality I’m a burnt out mid 30s woman trying to stay above water.
By the time she was my age she was married with 2 kids already and when she married my dad she wasn’t teaching yet. Things were so different too. There wasn’t the crazy struggle of just working to survive until you find something you’re passionate about. Not to mention the economy is horrible and student debt and high prices and all the pressures from every which way to be “successful” and all that crap.
Being a young adult in this day and age is exhausting and draining and like fighting an uphill battle while thinking you’re doing it wrong because your parents did it just fine why can’t you.
But you don’t take into consideration that it really was different and easier for them in certain ways.
Like I don’t like the term boomer or degrading them for being born when they were but there really is a major generation gap that is happening and affecting us 20-30 somethings.
Being an adult right now is tough and yeah, I don’t get out much. But it’s not on purpose. I would love to be balanced and spend time with friends and have time to devote to a relationship but I’m so damn tired and it’s so damn hard.
I’m just trying to survive ya’ll. I’m not depressed or anything. I’m not hiding and afraid of commitment. I’m just tired.
But I’m trying my best gosh darn it!

My summer project--check it out:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Maverick waited for the hostess to run his card he looked back at the table watching as Ellie started to build a catapult with her fork, straw, and the rubber bands that held their silverware together with their napkins. He chuckled to himself as she launched her pineapple on to his plate and cheered in victory when one landed in his abandoned water cup. Still playing with her food at 27-years-old. But he wouldn’t expect anything different from the kid. His kid.
“Playing with your food, Lieutenant?”
Ellie spun around and smiled innocently. “It’s not playing. It’s science, Uncle Mav.” --------------------- Maverick kept many things close to his chest. His emotions, his past, the number of times he's stolen a jet, and a few secrets. But what happens when a high-stakes mission threatens to bring to light one such secret he's held for years? One that could change the very meaning of the word family.

Casual fan things...
Once again I have been sucked into a fandom unwillingly and have been bitten by the inspiration bug. This time it's a movie about aviators and their ridiculously adorable found family that won't leave me alone and lives in my head rent free. Thus, I did what any normal self-respecting fan would do and wrote over 100K words in fic about it. And it's still going. So, if you also like ridiculous found families and good looking aviators, feel free to check out my story. I'm actually pretty proud of it, ngl. It's been my summer project and I'm having a blast. Summary below 👇

He comes into the cafe my sister works at all the time and is super nice! He asks about her son (my nephew) who is 9 and just started getting into Lord of the Rings and loves Frodo. He even remembers his name and has offered to meet him and sign things for him. Such a kind and stand up guy! 👏🏻👏🏻
I love no one like I love Elijah Wood
