Ugh okay I just wanna say one of my absolute favorite things about fanfics is the pet names. Not just seeing them, but like, seeing how particular fandoms use certain ones over others; darling (I'm quite partial to this one) or my love/dear vs. baby/babe. Or how a fandom will essentially agree as a whole that one character would use one particular pet name.

For example: A common pet name I see in Geralt x reader fics is "sweet girl". I've also seen this used in Mando fics.

I also love non-English terms of endearment, whether they come from a real language or a fictional one. Cyar'ika has become my new favorite, though mi amor will always hold a special place in my heart.

Or the random names people will come up with specifically for that fic/reader/character/etc. Especially if they're goofy or seem strange but somehow appropriate at the same time. "Little bird/mouse" are pretty common, but one I really liked I only saw once, "warrior". Unfortunately I don't remember where I saw it.

I just love pet names and I love my fellow writers for their use of them. Please keep making my lonely heart melt with your amorous words, thank you.

Todoroki, Iida, and Kirishima relationship angst :')

Just some angst/problems that might come up with dating these guys. By the way, this is by no means an attempt to ruin your comfort characters! These are just some ideas on maybe parts of a relationship they wouldn't be so good at. No one is perfect, either in a relationship or as an individual, and I still really like these characters overall :)))

-Todoroki Shoto-

Understandably… anything regarding physical contact is a bit of a weird subject

He had pretty mixed feelings about it at first and the two of you agreed to avoid it. Eventually, he started to get more comfortable with it, and the two of you began doing things like hold hands, hug, and cuddle a bit

No matter how gentle you are, he tenses upon the initial contact and then slowly relaxes

He's so soft when you touch him. He wraps his limbs around you, buries his head in the crook of your neck, and blushes softly as he drinks in all the physical contact he never got

Sometimes he thanks you for really random stuff, like remembering how he likes his soba. Asking specific questions about his day/how he’s feeling. Letting him talk about his interests. And it isn’t an idle “thx btw” it’s a sincere “thank you, so, so much for doing that, I truly appreciate it” and it kind of breaks your heart how low his standards are for how people treat him

The only reason he's been seriously addressing his trauma is not that he's upset about it, but because you're upset he isn't upset

The “meet the family” conversation was avoided for so long. If you both have bad home lives, you probably avoid it indefinitely

If you have a good family though, while Todoroki probably had a great time spending time with your family, he probably felt guilty that he couldn’t offer the same to you

He makes up a lot of excuses to his family to avoid putting you in a weird situation. He worries his sister would use you as proof that the family was healing, his brother would probably try to make you side against Endeavor, Endeavor might try to get you to talk to Todoroki for him… no way is he putting you through that

He wasn’t the best at expressing affection at first, but as he began to realize that “wow, you aren’t going to hurt me or try to use me :)” he became more open

-Iida Tenya-

Iida holds himself to SUCH high standards and can be really uptight, and I don’t just mean in terms of his hero work and academics, but in terms of being a boyfriend too

He wants to be the model boyfriend: strong, supportive of you, protective, encouraging, funny, charming, good at planning dates, romantic, calm and cool, etc

Sometimes the of you can laugh about it — Iida’s bad flirty lines, Iida’s list of your likes/dislikes, how dramatic he is about little things

Other times... you can't laugh. Depending on the type of person you are, you might like how organized and list-based Iida’s dates are, or at least appreciate the work that goes into them. Or, you might be annoyed out of your mind, wondering why the two of you can’t just say “hey let’s hang out” without Iida making an itinerary

If he ever forgot an important relationship-related event like an anniversary, birthday, or Valentines Day, he would feel AWFUL and completely freak out about it. Dozens of apologies, trying to act perfect for days on end to make up for it, being especially uptight… you get the idea

Even when he doesn’t mess up, it’s difficult for Iida to really relax into a relationship. After you’ve been dating for a few months, he’s still quite stiff with affection — not because he’s unaccustomed to it, he’s just a naturally tense person

Very guilty of being a bit of a workaholic and making you feel like... yes, he's physically there, but he's not there, like when you finally convinced him to watch your favorite movie, only to see him reviewing notes the entire time

And thinking about the “wow, I saw Iida’s to-do list for today and I’m literally nothing but a box for him to check off” can lead to some real FUN arguments

Sometimes when you cuddle his grip on you is just a little too tight because he’s so worried about something happening to you

-Kirishima Ejiro-

Similar to Iida, Kirishima also puts a lot of pressure on himself to be a good boyfriend

But unlike Iida who gets so worked up that it’s obvious he’s upset, Kirishima is way too good at hiding the strain he puts on himself

He could’ve just had the crappiest day of his life, but he’ll force a smile for you, offer to help with your homework, and get you something to drink

He goes so far out of his way to do things for you to show how much he loves you — carrying your books and backpack on top of his, even when his arms are shaking from being overworked; staying up late to talk to you without mentioning that he promised to wake up early to help Bakugou train; letting you have some of his lunch even though he forgot breakfast and will probably end up giving part of his dinner to Kaminari

It isn’t toxic masculinity because Kirishima is certainly still soft on you and in touch with his emotions, but his standards for himself are definitely too high

Part of him knew this wasn’t healthy, but the other, unconfident part of himself convinced him it was worth it every time you bragged to the others about how amazing your boyfriend is

When you realized what Kirishima was doing to himself, you were honestly devastated with yourself for not realizing sooner

And when you confronted Kirishima about it he reacted like a hurt puppy because he thought you were going to break up with him

You two had a long, long chat about communicating boundaries and such

Aside from that, Kirishima is like,,, really, really good with relationships??? He communicates well, is flexible, understanding, etc. Sometimes he does push himself a bit too hard in training or doesn’t feel like he’s good enough for you, but you’re there to cheer him up :)

Of course! This was a really cute idea, so I'm more than happy to continue it :)

Literally held his breath until he was certain you were asleep, and then he became one very happy boi because you're so cute!!

At first, he’d tried to shift you off of him so he could put you onto something more comfortable and properly tuck you in. However, the moment he tried to move, you mumbled his name and clung to his jacket Yes, his heart went BOOM and his face went RED

So yup, you get to sleep there now. Screw being a doctor or a pirate or a wanted criminal, he’s peaked in life by becoming your napping spot

He tucked his cloak around you and held you close

If anyone walks into the room, he’s wildly shaking his head, waving his arm “no”, and making a shushing motion — all while keeping the rest of his body relatively still for you

No matter how inconvenient it may be to try and do paperwork or examine medical diagrams with you on him, he will happily find a way to manage

Even if one of his limbs is falling asleep, he will literally stay there because he will never disturb his sleeping beauty (So don’t be too surprised if when you wake up and roll off of him, he has to beat the feeling back into one of his limbs)

Probably mumbles to you while you sleep about the most random stuff. If you happen to be awake, you can hear some real jewels to tease him about later :D

He’s sleep deprived so he probably ends up falling asleep with you too, leaning his head on yours and nestling you closer

-Muriel-

It’s not uncommon for there to be a comfortable silence between the two of you, so he had been so lost in his thoughts that he didn’t notice you drift off to sleep

When he did, he froze, hardly breathing as he took in your sleeping form — the way your eyes fluttered slightly, you nuzzling closer to him, the tranquility from your steady breaths

Keeping his eyes fixed on you, he leaned over to give you a blanket

He stayed there awhile, smiling softly to himself as he enjoyed your presence. He’s still amazed that,,, he can have moments like this with you. That the two of you have overcome so much and now get these quiet, loving moments

Kisses the top of your head and murmurs that he loves you

Sometimes Inanna tries to join in on the cuddle pile and he has to awkwardly adjust her so she doesn’t wake you up too

However... if you fall asleep on him in public or just around anyone, even Asra or Nadia, he’s going to blushing like a tomato

He wouldn’t move you because he’s obviously more concerned with you being comfortable than his embarrassment, but he still feels a little awkward

It doesn’t help when Asra lounges back inhis chair, cocks his head to the side, and says, “Well, you two certainly look comfortable.” And then Nadia and Portia chime in from across the room that you two look very cute

Muriel just mumbles something about them being quiet so they don’t wake you up

While Muriel does agree that it is very cute how you’re cuddled up against him, his face is soooo red

-Portia Devorak-

Alright, so this is going to go one of two ways

Way 1: Portia is in a cozy, sleepy mode, and is 100% okay with this. She’ll cushion blankets and pillows around you, urge Pepi to join the cuddle pile, and hum little songs to you or read a book. It’s very nice, 10/10 peaceful. She’ll smooth out any kinks in your hair and give you plenty of kisses and massages :)

Way 2: Portia is in a mischievous mood and you are doomed. You will wake up with your hair in a ridiculous updo, have something drawn in your face, and probably woke up because she was tickling your nose with a feather Pepi’s tail. And if you talk in your sleep, Portia will note everything down for future teasing material

But even if way 2 happens, it’s so hard to not fall asleep with her, especially when you’ve just finished a long day of working in the garden with her, the house smells of sweets, and her gentle arms are around you

If you fall asleep on her while you’re out in the garden, she’ll weave flowers into your hair or make you a flower crown

Sometimes Pepi will curl up right on top of you, and Portia will begin just stacking things on top of Pepi to see how tall she can get her little tower of loved ones and things (so far, the record is six things, before Pepi moved and sent everything tumbling down)

When you wake up she greets you with a grin, a kiss on the nose, and asks how your nap was

-Lucio-

Very mixed feelings about this

Because on one hand you’re really, really cute like this and this is the perfect opportunity to softly kiss the top of your head and stroke your hair without feeling self-conscious

On the other hand… he has to be very still and very quiet, which are two things that he is not good at

He tends to shift a bit trying to get into a more comfortable situation, and everytime you begin to stir awake he freezes, holds his breaths, and lets out a million curses in his head until you settle back into his arms

If he talks at all, you’ll probably wake up and Lucio is going to feel very bad/be pouty that he cut cuddle time short :( But if he can manage to stay still and quiet, he’s nothing but soft for you :)

He tries to keep his metal arm away from you so that the chill of it doesn’t wake you

After you wake up he’s all dramatic about how his arm was falling asleep and it was such a struggle to keep still, but there’s this little sparkle in his eyes that tells you he actually enjoyed it

He tries to avoid falling asleep with you like this, because he’s like “okay. They fell asleep on me because they trust me to watch over them and keep them safe. So I have to be awake to make them feel safe.” It’s kind of sweet but also,,, he doesn’t quite consider the fact that he’s just comfortable to sleep on

i’d like to request something with sidon re: singing. doesn’t have to be romantic, doesn’t have to NOT be romantic either. i don’t really care, i’m just having a bit of a tough time with this piece i’m doing in choir right now and i want wholesome shark man to say nice things to make me feel better :/

The Zora absolutely love music! They’re skilled musicians, have many talented singers and amazing instruments made of coral and seashells

Sidon especially loves music and has a pretty good voice too

He always compliments your voice, whether you’re a soprano with a light or strong voice, a soothing base, or an elegant alto, he finds your singing beautiful

When he takes you swimming and you’re on his back, he loves to hear you singing your favorite songs

He’d more than happily reach you some traditional Zora songs if you’d like!

Of course he’ll spoil you with all the music you’d like <3

Also,,, duets with your prince :) you can perch on your shoulder, and the two of you can perfectly harmonize, it’s beautiful

The Zora Domain has a lot of water and caves, right? And water carries sound really well. And caves reflect sound well too

So can you imagine singing in a dark cavern with underground ponds and streams, your voice bouncing through the darkness tinted blue by the Zora lights???

And then there’s Sidon, absolutely slack jawed, eyes shining, aware of nothing but your angelic voice???

Your voice sounds haunting and ethereal, the way the layers of voice combine and twirl over each other. Sidon is sure all sounds begins and end with your. Whether you’re singing a dramatic ballad or humming a child’s song, it’s beautiful

And as Sidon stares up at you from the water while you perch on a rock, he’s quietly thanking Hylia he has you

After long days full of royal meetings and disagreements, he loves being able to press his head against your chest as you hum

-Link-

While Link isn’t much of a singer himself, he loves to hear your voice

Whether you’re humming while you walk through the castle halls with him, singing through long horse rides, or singing a lullaby just above a whisper, he associates your voice with happiness and safety

He murmurs gentle compliments, and though they’re simple things like “that was really pretty” you know he really means it

He’s adept with a few instruments, such as the ocarina, and will play along with your singing

When he has to go on long trips, your songs make the time pass faster

His favorite songs are the jaunty, fun ones, the funny or somewhat random songs you hear in taverns. Some of them are a bit difficult to sing with a straight face :)

When he has bad nightmares nothing brings him faster back to reality faster than your soft voice flowing through a lullaby. You can see the tension fade from him as you hold his face and stroke his hair, stroking back the strands stuck to the sweat from his nightmare

He has a keen ear, especially for your voice. Even if you’re singing with a group of people, he can pick out your voice easily

If you’re really upset and need to calm down, he knows how much you love music and singing and… he’ll sing to you a bit. His voice isn’t amazing, but it’s… endearing. A soft, raw voice that’s good for a dancing between higher notes in a familiar lullaby in quiet moments like that. He’ll pull you to him and sing until you’re lightly humming along with him

Hanako pestering Yashiro in class hcs

Because, like Hanako, I have no self control for soft stuff like this :) Enjoy!

-Hanako/Yashiro-

Yes, ghosts and protecting the school are very important things that Hanako should be working on, but why bother with that when he has an adorable assistant to bother?

Hanako had Yashiro’s entire schedule memorized within the first day he met her for maximum bonding annoyance time

When Yashiro gets really bored in a class, she and Hanako will play simple games like tic tac toe and eye spy, or just chat via writing

He tries to put her hair up, but Yashiro won’t fall for that as easily as last time

He leans over her shoulder and judges her work

“Are you actually opening your essay with that mushy gushy line?”

In the middle of class: “Hey, Yashiro, say something if you don’t have a crush on me! …… oh, quiet are we…? ….. aawwww I just knew you had a soft spot for me, Yashiro, how cute!”

99% of all he does is pout and try to make Yashiro to pay attention to him because he’s clingy as hell

He’ll lean against her and wrap his arms around her, bemoaning the fact that she’s paying more attention to stupid numbers than him, until she promptly elbows him in the ribs with a movement so quick no one else notices and then he pouts in the corner until she feels bad and then he milks every bit of sympathy until she offers to make him doughnuts

Yashiro has to fight every second to keep her face straight during group projects because Hanako is just gossiping and sassing non-stop

“Wooowwww, and in this paragraph he wrote there’s only fifteen grammar errors! Go on, Yashiro, let’s give him a gold medal for that one.” “Remind me how this classmate of yours hasn’t failed all her classes again…?” “Yashiro, please let me punch him, I’m begging—“

He’ll do funny stuff by messing with the teacher and her classmates until she has to clamp a hand over her mouth to stop herself from laughing

He will be a bit more sweet and gentle if he notices Yashiro is upset, like if she got a bad grade or she’s having a hard time in class. He’ll write her cute/funny notes, look through the teahcer’s lesson plans to give her a heads up on what’s coming, or just quietly sit by her — not talking, not touching, just letting her know he’s right there

Hawks, Shinso, and Mirio affection headcanons <3

Basically, me rambling about how these three lovelies show affection

Warnings: sliiight angst/conflict type stuff for Hawks

-Hawks-

Under different circumstances, Hawks would express affection mainly by spending time with you. He’d plan so many cute dates with you! And he’d also do chill things you’re interested in, like watching your favorite shows with you, playing videogames with you, and doing silly projects with cooking or make-up

But given his job… spending a bunch of time with you isn’t exactly going to work, no matter how much time he’d like to spend with you. He still does his best — setting up dates when a random opening comes, fighting tooth and nail to wiggle open an hour or two for you, or FaceTiming you during his patrols when nothing much is going on

Sometimes he’ll pop by your work building when he catches a few spare minutes, just to check in on you

I suppose that makes the time he spends with you mean more in a way, since he can’t just throw his time around but…Hawk’s time commitment is a matter of contention in your relationship, so let’s move on, shall we?

Hawks spoils you with so many gifts. He really does not care at all about the price tag, and would low-key just hand you a credit card and tell you to go wild because if he can’t give most of his time, he can at least give you most his money

He likes to surprise you with gifts :) it could be anything from an outfit you pointed out when he took you flying, a video game you stare at with every advertisement, or a food you off handedly mentioned craving

He does other surprises that aren’t necessarily gifts too, like leaving you notes around the house when he goes out for an early patrol. Sometimes there are bad amazing puns, compliments, or just a simple “good morning, angel, have a good day!” With a little smiley face :)

Sometimes this accompanies breakfast neatly arranged with a gift. It’s sweet, but you don’t want to know how much of his already limited sleep he gave up to arrange it

I think the fandom has accepted the fact that Hawks gives you one of his feathers as a necklace. He did this so, no matter what, there’s at least some part of him with you

Kisses on the top of your head, then pulling you into a hug with his wings wrapped around you and his head resting on yours

Pet names like cutie, gorgeous/handsome, dove, trouble, and angel

Letting you borrow anything and everything from his wardrobe

Letting you fidget with his wings, or sending his feathers to tease you and play with your hair

Pda isn’t a big thing for him because it draws waaaay too much attention, but he’s very affectionate in private, giving you plenty of kisses and nuzzles on the head

-Shinso Hitoshi-

One of his main ways of showing affection is constantly offering to help you or just… be there for you, you know? Chilling with you so that you know you aren’t alone. Shinso has had to do a lot of things alone/isolated in his life, and he never, ever wants you to feel like that. So even if he’s not actively talking, helping you, or being affectionate, he just wants you to know he’s there

In general, he shows affection by doing things for you. Making you meals, helping with chores, reviewing notes with you, etc. He doesn’t over-do it, of course. He lets you do things alone if he thinks you’d prefer it or if you directly ask. His goal in helping is as simple as that — to help. And if his assistance is more frustrating than helpful, he’ll understand and back off

Also, I feel like respecting the hell out of you is one of his big ways of showing affection? He doesn’t ever baby you, underestimate you, etc. He never even jokingly talks about pushing past your boundaries, because once you set them, he views them as law

A lot of his affection is low-key things like that. Sweet and not super obvious until you take a closer look

Cuddling. Most of his physical affection is kept in private, and cuddling happens to be one of his favorite ways of showing how much he loves you

Helping you achieve your goals, because he wants the two of you to succeed together

Taking your mind off things that you don’t like. For example, if you’re going for a morning run that you absolutely despise, he’ll strike up a conversation about a movie you really like. Or if there’s a test you can’t stop freaking out over, he’ll start playing one of your favorite songs to make you chill

If you ever have a problem, he thinks really hard on it because he wants to give you 100% honest and helpful advice

… he’d make a playlist for you. Or something super personalized like that for you, where he’d keep it secret for ages and pay attention to every little detail

-Mirio Togata-

Compliments are a big thing for him :) there are just so many great things about you, and he can’t resist pointing them out! He doesn’t want you to ever be insecure or doubt his love! Plus, he’s very observant, so he can notice things like hair cuts, new clothes, a good grade, etc quite quickly

And they’re not just quick “cute outfit!” compliments, they’re more like “wow, that looks amazing on you! It was such a good idea to pair that together, and the new necklace brings out your eyes so well!”

Insecurities have been punted out of the chat

Pda. LOTS of pda. It is literally impossible to not know you two are dating smh

Hand holding, random hugs, scooping you up whenever, finding random excuses to have you sit on his lap, cuddling with you, fiddling with your hair and clothes, etc.

Paying really close attention to things you like/things about you and being 100% prepared for them. Birthday? He’s memorized it since before you two were even dating. Holidays? Already has plans. Release date of a movie you’re looking forward to? Calendar cleared, popcorn bought

Throws “love you!” into every good-bye, just to make sure you know and maybe embaress you too

Making you laugh

Pet names, some sweet ones like honey and dear, and more goofy ones based on inside jokes between the two of you

He randomly pops in on you to see what’s up :) like you’re studying, minding your own business, and then Mirio’s popping in through the floor and asking if you want some help with laundry. You woke up literally two seconds ago, and there’s Mirio’s head poking out of the bed and asking if you want coffee. This one could get a bit annoying, and if it is, he’ll try to chill out and at least knock before barging in

He just loves spending time with you so, so much. Most things you do are pretty casual, but they never fail to make his day

Mirio also shows affection through photos. He has,,, SO many photos of you (not in a weird way, as most were taken with you well aware of them). And then he’ll do cute stuff like hang them up in his room and make them his phone background

Secretly dating Aaravos

Handsome, sparkly, morally ambiguous elf man + dating in secret = life fulfilled

Warnings: none!

-Aaravos-

He knows that having an intimate connection with him puts you in a grave amount of danger, especially with things as chaotic as they are right now. He can’t constantly be watching over you, so distancing the two of you is the next best thing

So though he hates having to hide it, he does, because Aaravos cannot risk losing you

“It’ll only be for a while, jewel. Then I can show you off for all to see.”

Aaravos cast a number of protective enchantments on you — faint enough to leave no connection to him, yet strong enough to protect you when he isn’t around

He sends you little gifts in secret — snacks, books, notes, or bracelets that won’t attract too much attention from others (though he wishes he could shower you with the fortunes of every treasury in the land)

Your secret meet ups are carefully devised by Aaravos so that no one suspects a thing. It usually involves meeting in forgotten corridors of old buildings, in the middle of dark forests, or diving into whatever shadowy alleyway you two can find

You’ll stand there in perfect silence and eventually hear the rich, dark voice behind you say, “There you are, starlight. Looking as divine as always.”

In those stolen moments together, you talk about everything that’s going on or just sit there enjoying one another’s company without watching eyes

You’ve fallen asleep a few times, and always wake up safely tucked into your bed

He always makes a point to ask how everyone is treating you and if you feel safe, just to make sure all is well

There have been a few close calls, of course. A nosy servant burst down a hall once, and Aaravos had to tuck you behind some curtains. Another time, a patrol came far closer than he had expected, and he had to hold you close and cloak the both of you in shadows

Even when you aren’t together, you’re half certain that the shadows watch and smile over you wherever you go

And anyone who dares try to be nosy or use information about your relationship against you… let’s just say that they are about to have some absolutely terrible luck

Could you do Sidon with an ADHD reader? I loved ur one with link!!! and the weight thing as been a huge issue for me lol, every time i get switched to a med that isnt supposed to cause weightloss i either get horrible side effects or they just do not work. I am pretty underweight now so its... nerve wracking lol. I have other health issues that limit my diet a lot so its been hard trying to get healthy again

I know you sent this request in a really long time ago, my apologies! Please ramble to him!!! Please!!! He loves learning new things and seeing you happy, so it’s a win win situation. He’s so attentive, he literally remembers everything you say and every time you say things like “Oh… I’m annoying you, sorry hahaha,” “feel free to tell me to shut up whenever,” or “wait,,, you’re actually interested?!?!” his heart breaks and he wants to smother you in kisses

It’s okay if you’re loud because honestly,,,, he’s just as loud, if not louder

You can always vent your frustrations to him, he’s there to listen

Sidon is a very organized person, so he’s more than willing to help you organize and remember things! He sees it as a fun bonding project :)

Sidon absolutely spoils you. Want some cool new fidget to stim with? Boom, it’s yours. Want to organize yourself, but can only really find the motivation if said organizational things are hella aesthetic? No problem, Sidon has it custom made for you. Have a new interest but need some supplies? Don’t worry, Sidon already has sent a list to the local merchant

His heart melts by the way these gifts make your face light up

When you get overwhelmed by lots of tasks or emotions, never fear! Sidon can take you to dozens of places in the Zora Domain to calm down at. There are scenic cliffs, quiet caves, and bubbling streams just for you

He knows you’re sensitive to criticism, so he does his 200% best to be sweet no matter what (which isn’t hard for Sidon when it comes to you). He’s always there to comfort you when you get upset and doesn’t let you say anything like “I’m being a baby” or “I’m being too sensitive”. Your emotions are your emotions, and nothing is too trivial for Sidon to scoop you into his large arms and stroke your back

Of course, he knows unexpected touching can be very distracting at times, and will keep hands off/ask to touch in certain situations

Zora’s Domain has some of the best healers in the land, so getting any medicine you need is super easy and stress free

But if the medicine causes you to drop weight or other negative side effects, Sidon would notice instantly, especially because he picks you up so often he’d notice a weight drop

He’d rush off to the healers to change your medicine, fussing, stroking your hair, and apologizing over and over again

When you’re feeling restless and need to burn off some steam, Sidon can take you for a swim on his back! He’s very active himself, so he’s happy that you are too

And if people are ever rude to you, Sidon will personally deal with them instantly.

“Why can’t you simply focus and-“ “Why can’t you simply stop talking?” Sidon growled in return, pulling you close as he glared at the person and let his teeth show just a little

Or if you’re stimming and people are giving you the side eye, he’ll give THEM the side eye, which always puts their best manners uwu

-Cyrus Albright-

Panic so bad he felt sick

He didn’t even see the hit come, let alone see you rushing towards him before he heard your scream — that scream haunts his dreams

Cyrus whisked you to safety as quickly as he could, throwing a trail of deadly fire behind him to ward off any foes following

Half of him wanted to tear the monster that hurt you to shreds — to make it feel a fraction of the pain that you felt

But he was more concerned with your safety than revenge, so he left it in the cruel hands of Therion and Primrose

The entire way to Ophilia he has you wrapped in his cloak, pressing your body close to him as he rambles about keeping your eyes open, please just keep those beautiful eyes open a few moments more, look how close we are, etc

And then before he knows it, Ophilia is whisking you away from him

He feels awful, beyond words. The moment you’re taken from his arms, everything just hits him

You’re hurt because of him. He who has sworn to protect you no matter what

He beats himself up so badly because he’s quite protective and can’t believe he let you get hurt that badly. He drowns himself in books, learning spells to ensure that this situation never repeats itself

Instead of being chatty and rambling like usual, he’s dead silent. He hardly says anything more than the basic necessities while you’re recovering, and he spends the majority of his time sitting beside you

When you’re well enough to sit up and chat, he goes between blindly rambling (trying to cheer you up, apologizing for the accident, distracting you both from your injuries) and being dead silent, just staring at you and thanking the stars you’re alive

He’s SO soft on you for months, getting you apology gifts whenever, trying and mainly failing to cook for you, and reminding you how much he loves you 24/7

-Therion-

Therion saw the critical hit coming in slow motion. He knew he couldn’t get out in time and knew he’d be lucky to survive. His only thought was, “well, at least it’s not them.”

And then there you go, jumping in front of him to take the hit

He was pissed, to say the least. Pissed at himself, pissed at you, and most of all, pissed at that monster

There was one heart stopping moment he couldn’t find your pulse. He let out every profanity he knew, choked down sobbing pleas to not leave him, that he couldn’t survive alone—

Then he found a pulse and shoved you into the arms of Ophilia and Alfyn before taking down that monster, nothing but cold rage in him. You can almost, almost feel bad for that monster… because it suffices to say Therion made it wish it had never been born

After the fight, Therion was an emotional mess. He was terrified that you wouldn’t be okay, angry at you for not just letting him get hurt, guilty that he let it happen, etc

He doesn’t tell anyone about it though. He just glares, tells them to go away, then shuffles off to sit beside your bedside

Or he’s working himself to the point of collapsing while he trains — to both ensure that you never get hurt because of him again and numb him from guilt

Or he stays up watching you sleep, counting your breaths to avoid the nightmares where they stopped

He sometimes couldn’t go by your room, because just sitting there watching you suffer was torture

He’s gruff, yet gentle with you. He asks how you’re feeling, if you need anything, and jumps to the slightest thing you need

You get to sleep with his scarf all the time :)

Kaminari, Bakugou, and Tamaki when they’re s/o is injured in battle

Warnings: injuries, blood, violence (but nothing explicit), some swearing

-Denki Kaminari-

The moment he saw you injured, you were all he could focus on. He didn’t care about the villains getting away, the destruction around him, nothing

All he could see was you lying on the ground, red all around

You, you, you, you, you is all he thinks as he races to your side

His only priority is getting you medical care — to hell with dignity, to hell with those villains

He’s shaking, bringing you close and doing everything he can to comfort you, whether it be making bad jokes or petting your hair until help arrives

But… let’s say the villain that hurt you stayed. Was still a threat to you

Sweet Pikachu boy becomes the stuff of nightmares as he faces that villain

Electricity is just rippling off of him, humming and crackling with enough energy to make the hair on your arm stand up if you’re just within 50 feet. His own hair is standing on end, arcs of electricity arcing and jumping from him like dozens of little swords

Anyone would be rightfully terrified

Especially when they see his eyes — full of a sharp danger that has nothing to do with the electricity bristling through them, sparking with every blink

Making sure he’s a safe distance away from you, Kaminari knows he can deal with the villain

So he does — swift and brutal, without a moment wasted on showing off or keeping himself safe

And then instead of going brain dead, he just stumbles back to your side, gives you a glazed eyed smile, and begins petting your head again as he murmurs that help will be here any second

-Bakugou Katsuki-

Bakugou was out for blood the moment yours was staining your clothing

He controlled his anger just long enough to make sure you were getting help before he went after that villain

And he’s out for blood

He’s hurling threats, insults, and curses as he chases that villain, basically screaming himself hoarse

He doesn’t hear Kirishima or Sero yelling after him to stop, to chill out before he gets himself killed

The only thought on his mind is how limp your body was and how badly this villain needs to pay

Bakugou corners the villain, explosions rippling off his hands with this downright feral look in his eyes — he’s going to make it very clear that villains don’t get away with hurting you, that there are consequences that should keep them well away from you

Because while Bakugou does know you can usually handle yourself, seeing you like that made him want to make every villain terrified of so much laying a finger on you

So he promptly proceeds to beat the shit out of this villain

It’s brutal to say the least, and Bakugou plays with the villains nerves a bit — constantly dancing just out of reach, diving between the smoke and dust so the villain can never see the attacks coming

Probably replicates your injury on the villain

Even as more villains show up to reinforce their partner, Bakugou is only focused on the that hurt you, despite his own growing injuries

Sero, Kirishima, and Kaminari had to literally drag Bakugou away from all the villains before he was completely overtaken or the villain was killed, because frankly that villain was in more danger than Bakugou was in

Bakugou was tense and snapping for a fight until you were conscious and recovering, at which point everyone breathed a collective sigh of release, both for your well-being and Bakugou finally chilling out

-Amajiki Tamaki-

His knees buckled when he saw you go down

He was paralyzed for a moment, unable to think beyond your injuries

Then he’s rushing for you, blindly darting between any obstacles between you and him

The moment he was by you, he summoned some large animal limb — think a wing or fin — to hold you close and shelter you from any more hits

He started rambling to you, stuttering blindly as he begged you to stay conscious with him (while also holding back tears because seeing you in pain is like a knife in his chest)

He had a painfully gentle hold on you as he suggested to you every self soothing technique he’d ever known, so you wouldn’t panic

Tucking you into his chest, he began racing towards the nearest safe place

He kept you well away from any conflict because he couldn’t stand the idea of having to leave you while he fought, or worse, seeing you even more hurt

If any villain approaches you, he doesn’t think

“Don’t touch them!” is the last thing any villain will hear before being knocked out or thrown far away from you. If you weren’t so focused on your injury, even you would be a caught off guard at how dark his entire expression is

That said, he’s shaking so, so bad because he’s scared that he won’t be fast enough, that he’ll drop you, that it’s too late, etc

When he finally reaches help, he refuses to leave your side — which is probably a good thing, because his mind is too fixated on you to be any good in a fight

Even if he was well away from you when the injury happened, he’ll probably find a way to completely blame himself for it ;-; he’ll be feeling jumpy and nervous we’ll passed the time you’re completely healed
