Here's that sappier post I mentioned.

Before last night, the last time I had seen Set It Off was five years ago. To me, it feels like a lifetime. I was a very different person then. Yes, some of it is obvious: I had braces, I hadn't dyed my hair yet, I was still in high school, and I am almost certain that I was still writing on Wattpad.

However, I was wildly unhappy when that show happened. That concert was a happy moment, but that wasn't consistent. It was the worst period of my mental health I had experienced up to that point. Now, five years later, I feel like a dramatically different person. I have grown so much more than I ever thought that I could. Yes, I have lost some people along the way, but what I got in return was far more important.

When I look at the girl from 2019, I see a girl desperately trying to blend in and take up as little space as possible. When I look at me now, I see a girl who has accepted that she will always take up space and is accepting that she deserves to take up space.

And through all of that was Set It Off. They were always there, constantly dropping songs that fit so perfectly into the events of my life that they may as well have been reading my mind. I have always been strongly opposed to claiming a band saved my life. However, I have no problem saying that this band helped me through the worst moments I've had in the last decade.

So, this is a thank you post more than anything else. Thank you to Set It Off for creating a space that is safe and supportive. A place where I could become who I was supposed to be. I cannot wait to see what's going to happen next.

After five years (holy shit, how has it been that long?), I got to Set It Off in concert again! It was an amazing show with artists that loved their work so much and it showed in how they performed. Nine Years of Posting Fanfiction [An Anniversary Post]

Here it is. April 7th.

For those who have been here a while, then you know that today is a big deal. Today celebrates nine years since I started posting my writing online. And I know that I haven't been posting much over these past few months, but I still find this day to be incredibly special.

The last year has been a wild one. Through school and my life, things have been nothing short of hectic as all hell. I cannot thank you enough for being there through it. If you have been patient enough to wait through the last few months with me, thank you. If you stumbled onto this account during that time, thank you. If you don't give a shit and are just kinda sitting there and minding your business and kinda forgot that you actually followed me, thank you.

I have been so grateful to do what I have. I'm reinventing some OCs of mine. I'm trying to get through the most recent writing challenges (key word: trying). I am trying to write for new things and exciting stories while pursuing other hobbies and paths in my life. And you have all given me that ability and I cannot thank you enough for it.

So, what's next?

Honestly? I have no fucking idea. I am working on a lot, but I have no idea what's going to happen between now and you guys getting to see it. I am planning to start posting on one of my TikTok accounts as I begin to paint more stuff (kylihoward7, if you're interested). I have a huge series for this account that I am putting together that's related to the pop-punk/emo scene. I am trying to write and get content out while I do my schoolwork, but it has been rough to say the least. I am trying to change jobs right now because I am unhappy (understatement of the decade). It is all currently trying and in the works and I cannot promise anything right now.

So, thank you again for all of your support. For your support through this last year and through all the years that follow. I think you are all amazing people and I admire all of you. Thank you for giving me space to grow and change and become something more than I was before. It has been a wonderful experience, and I cannot wait to see what's next.

the last time lizzy mcalpine released an album, I was going through one of the worst times of my life.

now, she dropped a new album while I am in a significantly better place. it's not perfect but it's better. I cannot explain how important it is to me to get to experience her music and brilliance without feeling like I am just barely holding onto anything in my life.

Now, I know the follow-up question: why the hell did you redo Jack Harkness?

That answer is a little longer. The character of Jack Harkness was created in 2005. I do not think that it would be inappropriate to say that bi representation at that time was not the best. Now, in 2024, I wanted to create representation that felt a little more natural and a little less based in stereotyping. Rory knew the dangers of the world. She always had. Her parents had dragged through the hunting life for too long for her to not. When she met Josh, she wanted to leave that world behind her. However, the world has a cruel way of dragging you back to what you had known before.

[Face Claim: Jeremy Jordan]

Josh had been something of a hero in Rory's eyes. He allowed an escape. He had always been gentle. His love for family made him the closest thing to a perfect partner and father. The cooking ability was just a very nice bonus to it all. He may not have known all of Rory's story, but he was willing to accept everything that came with it.

Asmodeus [he/him (primarily)]

Call him selfish, greedy, or just an asshole. Asmodeus always had a way of getting what he wanted. He walked with a confidence that could terrify the bravest of souls. He knew what it took to control a room, no matter the circumstances. Does he need to yell and prove his strength? Fine. Does he need to appear sensitive and desperate? Fine. As long as he got his way, then he was fine with whatever it took to get there.

Kara Matthews [she/her]

Kara had always been accustomed to the finer things in life. So accustomed that she got incredibly bored. She craved something different. Some forbidden and exciting. That allows her to fall into the sights of someone that should have never found her. Maybe all of that tragedy could have been avoided if she should have simply stayed in her place.

Have you ever imagined going face-to-face with the Devil? After his release from the cage, the Winchesters and all who knew them had to face the very reality that they may end up doing just that. Authors operate in a world all their own. None of them more so than God himself. He controls the story and he expects it to be followed until the very end. And if the characters in his story don't follow his plotline, he will ensure that they learn to not step out of line again.

Original Characters Masterlist [Vol.2]

Hello!

This masterlist feels both sudden yet incredibly expected. Over the years, I have created original characters (OCs) for a variety of fandoms. I adore them all, but many of them were not made with the intention of being more than a one-off story. That led to some stories that I am simply not as proud of as I would like to be. Also, they were written when I was a coward and was terrified of changing known canon. Now that I am much more comfortable doing that, I want to make something that I can feel much prouder of.

This will serve as a new beginning for many of my OCs and as the new official masterlist for all of the stories in those current timelines.

I have remade an OC before. I am not remaking all of them. This is merely a way for me to keep moving forward and not get stuck in one spot.

The remade OCs are the Hannibal OC, the Criminal Minds OC, and the Supernatural OC.

The other OCs will be left as they are, though I have done a lot of work behind the scenes in order to get those characters to flow much better than they did before.
