I actually like how this one turned out, sweet and simple Chapter 6~ A true Devonian Tea Party ‘Ty was currently sitting at a table with Mangus, Kit and Granfer John while the rest of the party were at another table a couple of feet away chatting amicably. Around 5 minutes ago a young man introduced simply as ‘the cook’ had brought out pots of what Ty could only assume was tea along with trays filled with cakes, cookies and for some reason sandwiches? Ty was also mildly perplexed by the biscuits that sat on the tray alongside the rest of the sweets and upon closer inspection he could see that some of them contained what looked like raisins.’

‘He followed Ty’s gaze and was met with the bloodshot eyes of Livvy’s ghost who had her mouth agape and from which spouted a fountain of water. It felt like an age as he watched the scene unfold and then abruptly Livvy let out a banshee cry that rang through Kit’s ears and disappeared. It was terrifying’

Chapter 4~ Kit goes to Kitty for help

‘the path seemed to open up to a haphazardly balanced open gate and then a small clearing of gravel that then met an open road. In the center of the gravel patch was a mound of grass at the foot of which sat Kit with his back facing the way they had just come. Ty focussed his eyes a little more and released, with a chill, that this was a grave for someone though it looked ancient which begged the question “why was Kit here?”’

Chapter 1~ Kit takes his morning run

“Kit stopped for a second to right himself, blinking a couple times and watching his breaths curl up into the brisk early morning air. He had made it to the top of the hill just outside the village and he could see Cirenworth hall standing proud, a light on in the kitchen meaning Jem was probably up and making breakfast.”

I think this is progress and I love both the sunrise and blue sky version especially the heather and gorse
