I really hope that SAB season 2 will show more of Genya and what happens to her after she chooses Alina instead of the Darkling. I feel like she doesn’t get nearly enough credit for that and the torture he put her through.

Her dream still felt fragile. She didn’t want to care what Kaz thought, but she did. “I’m going to hunt slavers.” “Purpose,” he said thoughtfully. “You know you can’t stop them all.” “If I don’t try, I won’t stop any.” “Then I almost pity the slavers,” Kaz said. “They have no idea what’s coming for them.”

I feel like on the odd occasion Kaz might ask Inej to help him out with smuggling things in and out of Kerch via the Wraith. Like, she’ll be visiting and tries to get her to deliver a shipment of an illegal something or another and Inej - being Inej - decides to take advantage of the situation.
Inej: sure. I can do that.
Kaz: excellent-
Inej: for 50,000 kruge
Kaz: …….you’re charging me?
Inej: don’t worry, I gave you the boyfriend crime boss discount
Kaz: Inej, I’m not paying you
Inej: yikes. Guess you’ll have to find someone else you trust to smuggle in your illegal goods smh
Kaz: you’re joking, right?
Inej: I’ve spent enough time in Kerch to learn when to barter, Kaz Brekker. Either you give me my 50,000 kruge or come with me to Ravka so we can visit Nina together. That’s the only way you’re getting my help.
Kaz: …….the other option is visiting Nina?
Inej: yes
Kaz: I’ll pay the 50,000
Kaz acts annoyed but he secretly loves it and purposely asks her to do more things just get her to negotiate with him lol

all i’m saying is one of the things that makes kaz and inej a godtier ship is that by the end of the duology inej resolves not to try and fix kaz in any way since that isn’t her responsibility, and kaz in turn does make the effort to better himself for the sake of pursuing something more healthy with inej, and i just think that’s so lovely and mature of both of them

Wylan: Kaz, I already told you, I don't want to do anything illegal
Kaz: It's for Inej
Wylan: *already has the demo stuff* Well, why didn't you say so earlier? What do you need me to do?

Something I adore in Crooked Kingdom is the parallels between Kaz and Inej as performers.
“You square your shoulders before you start a move as if you’re about to perform, like you’re waiting for the audience’s attention.”
AND
“Kaz slipped free like a magician escaping a straight jacket in a show on East Stave.” … “He spread his gloved hands wide. Again Inej thought of a magician. Nothing up my sleeves.”
Inej has never hidden away the fact she was a performer. It’s an integral part of her character and a connection to the girl she was before she was kidnapped by slavers; while Kaz’s whole persona is a performance to cover up the wounded boy he is was but also a poke at his innocent fascination for magic as a young child.
Just two deeply scarred individuals putting on a show for a cruel world that would never stop insisting on another encore.
