Bae Mu-yeol is the hard-working single father of 12 children, who dreams of quitting his job as a bar back in order to fulfill his dreams: writing plays! When two of his youngest children (Nemo and Ashlee) secretly send off one of his manuscripts, he’s contacted by a big-time director, Clarion Queen, interested in adapting his play. It looks like his dream might finally pay off… as long as he can relocate to New York City with his unruly brood of troublemakers!

Hi, it’s me Lauryl to say this is the most hilarious thing i’ve done and to write a few quick notes– 

Which is to say! Originally I really wanted to highlight Marlin/Ashlee’s relationship because I just gosh darn love them, but then I was thinking about how much I love that Marlin is becoming so many ppl’s father figures in different ways and then this MOVIE popped into my head and it was too funny so i had to do it. obviously his relationship to all the characters i pulled are not STRICTLY paternal (i acknowledge that marlin and ting ting are platonic and on even playing ground) but i was trying to fill 12 ppl okay and look i failed he just has three random white kids 

but. this is still about marlin’s relationships to those people he’s guiding. i love seeing the differences between his tutelage of Henry contrasted with the care he provides Ashlee, which is of course both physical as a kind of appointed physician and also in anonymity which is itself a kind of protection. i hope he continues to collect people and Dad them until he can Dad the whole of Swynlake.
