another set, this time for emerald!
Top Row:
the 1st two are just emerald's canon looks with very little changes. i made her arm...band? bracelet? whatever it is i made that bronze again, like it was in one concept photo. i just like how that looks better. its cute.
the redo of her dance dress is just a different style and color. i suppose material as well since its a bit shiny. i also think the black lipstick would look really cute on her. idk how it would have worked in either engine, i dont remember anyone in the show wearing makeup (except maybe eye shadow for blake) but itd be cute
Bottom Row:
i love her volume 7 outfit, its so cute. i left out some details but no changes really.
the final 2 outfits are just things i think emerald could wear while she was in vacuo. bits an pieces were taking from come concept arts but more made up.

making some rwby fits/edits/just dawing the outfits i like

[tbh i should of added the notes or whatever, the first time around 馃き]
Top Row:
looks 1 & 2 are just me drawing her canon outfits with minimal changes.
the 3rd look is just a different style of dress while basically keeping all the colors the same and in the same place. i never completely loved the sheer (or whatever they are) shoulders her outfit had going on so i simply nixed that and a wrapped style dress.
Bottom Row:
im someone who never really liked the big white coat she wore while on menagerie. it may have been difficult to animate, but i wish she could have taken off the jacket before she had her "rematch" with adam. i think, with the switch to the other animation engine, her hair and black tanktop wouldnt get lost but who knows? its just a bit of a different top.
this outfit im not fully happy with, tbh, tho i dont like the white jacket in the show either. i made her hair even shorter, i think its really cute and, in my head, its really fluffy. i think the white fur could be nice and match yang and her dad. i kept the tails much shorter than the canon jacket and decided that the inside should be purple like the soles of her shoes.
this is just something inspired by and outfit i saw serena williams wear. just a simple body suit. that bit hanging off is supposed to be her re-purposed ribbon. i like the idea of some fanus making themselves have more animal traits than the one theyre born with. like sienna with her stripe tattoos and neon with her hair. blakes mom has a belt that could act like a tail, but i dont think we see it in the show, but the ribbon is supposed to mimic a tail here.

so, on my main i talk (very rarely lol) about a winx club au, that i call winx club shine (cause im back with titles), where it's basically a next gen au with roxy as the main focus.
so here some sketches of the winx club 2.0 i basically traced stock images cause i wasnt happy with how i was drawing the winx style and i havent fully figured how i want them to look (i flip flop a lot)
but i got the outfits and hairstyles down!

this is going to be long, bear with me. so, does yang's skin look yellow in the top two photos? when i had first finished these pictures yang looked fine, imo. i wanted her to be more tan (closer to what im going for with her dad's skin tone) but shifting from my ipad to my computer made me re-evaluate. so i shifted her skin tone to that of the bottom two pictures, that look a bit better to me. it could be that im simply seeing the picture with new eyes, i stopped looking at the piece for a while. but id like opinions on it. okay, on to the outfits.

i took quite a bit of inspiration from an old concept art for the vol 1 look, where yang was wearing a tan jacket. i really like the dark brown on her canon look, i feel like it makes the yellows on her pop a lot, but i wanted to try the tan look with some darker boarder colors on the jacket.
the vol 2 alternate outfit is, imo, 10 outta 10 no notes
her dance outfit...i tried for a very light yellow cheongsam inspired dress (took inspo from some wedding shops i found online) and originally i was gonna give her a dragon design. she is a sunny little dragon after all. but i didnt like any of the dragons i drew, so i did this pattern inspired by some floral designs i found.

tbh i wasnt sure what i wanted to do with the vol 4 - 6 outfit. i always found it kind of boring tbh. i tried the mismatched pant legs and put the long orange sock back because i feel like part of yang was working on regaining some part of herself. i never liked the long...flaps she had so i didnt add them. i did another variant with a duller brown jacket (its leather in my head) cause shes still struggling.
this is my 3rd fav outfit for yang in canon and i didnt change much, tho i got rid of the black...idk what that, ig ill call it a belt add-on doesnt feel like it adds anything to me. the only other thing i did was that i added the purple handkerchief into her open leg slit. its great.
just a casual outfit. very simple and now that i think about it, perhaps the pattern should have been on her top cause its looking king of blank to me. not sure if i like the black socks or the yellow socks better.
