you're allowed to ask for things to be done a certain way if you want,

this can be as simple as asking someone to stop a behaviour that personally offends you, as minor as telling a waiter that you asked for a different sauce, or as important as asking someone to take you into town for a medical exam, whatever you want, you can ask for, and I know that it's hard, of course I know, I go through that same feeling constantly, every waking moment is just me planning to perfectly recite a rehearsed moment that never ends up happening,

but you have to ask, because if you dont, then it will never happen, if they say no, they're an asshole with what's probably the capacity for compassion of a 12 year old, you dont need those kinds of people in your life, but if they say yes, then you pretty much exclusively benefit, however, if you dont ask then they'll forever remain ignorant, and keep doing it, or wont ever do it, and then you'll never know who your true friends or family are, and let's face it, you probably have bigger fears about abandoning a person who just doesnt know that what they're doing (or not doing) isn't something that you want or like anyway

you aren't going to be seen as rude, or thought worse of, because let's face it. you most likely ain't a bigot, or entitled, or a nazi, you're far more likely to just be a well meaning individual who is unhappy with a specific thing at that moment, and that's ok, you're ok, so ask

I am facing a moral dilemma between my vegetarian diet and wanting to own a cat

like I have to feed it at least mostly meat based products because It's an obligate carnivore and all, but I still want to not need to have any unnecessary animals die

I refuse to support the meat industry because animal lives are more important than my taste buds, but I want a lil carnivorous ball of rage and fluff
