AveryCanadianFilm: The Caribbean

Any scenes filmed the Caribbean, even if the setting is Jamaica, will be filmed in Dominica. I won't be contacting any reggae artists or producers who may be interested in participating. My cousin who, among other things, is lawyer for several reggae superstars will represents my interests in this area. At this time I intend to retain all the scenes set in Jamaica in the revised script.

AveryCanadianFilm: Update

To all of you who have been involved in this artistic endeavour in one or another, it's been a long journey, much longer than I originally anticipated. In fact, initially I expected it to last a few years and then I'd return to my profession as an educator, one I chose very carefully by the way, because I thought my best contribution to my community would be research and teaching. The kindest of strangers was a surprise. The music was a surprise. The incredible hatred and animosity of some people was a surprise. Yet I continue because it's worth it, art is always worth it, because in my humble opinion it is through art that we can explore the depths of human experience, the experiences we all have in common despite our many differences. Yes, I think after all this time we will still obtain funding for these feature length movies or perhaps tv series, we'll see. I will now resume my meditation practice, not for intellectual reasons, but because I have a deep desire to be the best person I can be in this life which is nearing its end. So if I don't post for awhile or if this is my final post, I'll say this:

May all of you enjoy real peace, real harmony, and real happiness, and reach your full potential and give your unique gifts to life.
