Goddd thinking about the time loop-y elements of Hadestown really makes the line “I knew you before we met, and I don’t even know you yet” hit different
beauregard lionett was rarely wrong when it actually counted and was often many steps ahead of everyone else intellectually and she still does not get enough recognition for that idc what anyone says

one of my biggest pet peeves is that both rhaenicent shippers and antis have this common view that alicent is pathologically obsessed with rhaenyra in a way that is not reciprocated. this is not true. rhaenyra refers to aegon in the trailer only as “alicent’s son.” alicent kept that page, but rhaenyra recognized it and was tempted by the possibly retrievable bond it represented. rhaenyra is so in thrall to nostalgia and her own traumatically destroyed childhood that she marries her uncle. her whole life is one long search to get the love and security of that childhood back. alicent seems to have less nurturing adult bonds than rhaenyra - harwin and daemon successively - but they are actually both equally insanely hung up on that lost teenage situationship.
did 100% dream of an old client but that’s bc he keeps hitting me up about his case and there’s only so many ways I can be like “I don’t have access to your legal file” without finally giving him my old coworkers numbers so they can finally deal with it
I deserve more credit for not picking stupid fights on the internet than a nice person who doesn't pick fights does, because I have an unpleasant personality and it's harder for me
