Rant coming:

“Deku should fight alone”

No he shouldn’t. As powerful OFA can be, Deku can’t take Villains escaped from prison, rescue people and find the league base alone. He is tired and putting the whole burden upon himself.

“Power of friendship is bullshit. He don’t need friends. ”

I agree that this trope is so overused but i am not saying deku needs his friends to overcome the challenges what i am saying is he need allies. And yeah the main antagonist is AFO but we didn’t have the whole mva arc so u guys can sleep on the league. And the whole international heroes thing is being introduced because right now japan need more manpower to fight. And with how reckless Deku is being by cutting even the top 3 heroes, I would not have been surprised if AFO just cornered him, sent some near high end nomus and then just took OFA from him.

“Deku is trying to save his friends because they might die if they faced AFO with him”

He shouldn’t try to ‘save’ his friend, they are hero course students from UA who have their provisional hero license. And if they might die, then it is a heroic death, they all want to become heroes despite knowing how risky the job is and that they can die any time. And him saying that, “You all can’t keep up with me” just shows that he is looking down on them. I know no one is nearly as powerful is Deku but do you all remember no one was as powerful as Bakugo too and that’s why he was such a jerk in S1 but his whole character development shows that in order to fight against someone who’s more powerful than you, you need people along your side. And Deku is not understanding this simple fact.

Here’s my opinion I really don’t think Deku should go back to UA but right now he deserves a break and a different perspective. He’s forgetting that he is not the only Hero in the story. In Bakugo’s lingo, he is underestimating them. Yeah sure, AFO is after Deku but it’s not just AFO they have to fight with it’s the entire league and the villains escaped from the prison. And although Deku is op rn, he still can’t fight that many of ppl along with AFO alone, he’s being reckless. But that doesn’t mean that he should go back to UA and let his classmates protect him. They should fight together, rescue people and find the league and AFO b4 AFO comes back with another genius plan.

The only character I’m scared wouldn’t get a happy ending in the last hours is Matthew Fairchild. Like he is either gonna die or something is terrible gonna happen to him. And Cassie’s answers abt Matthew on tumblr is just making me more worried about him. I only wanted him to recover through alcoholism and forgive himself.. is it too much ask?

Well, maybe not all secrets. If Alastair is secretly concealing that he hates mauve, we might not find that out. :) I think what you’re describing is obviously the best case outcome for Matthew and his family. His secret does need to come out, so he can get better, but we don’t know how it will be revealed — by him, by someone else, by something that happens.

It breaks my heart to see people hating on Matthew fairchild so much.. I think I even saw an anti-Matthew Fairchild club.. like why? Why?! What did he do again? Oh yeah ‘causing problems in between your favourite ships’.. like guyS first of all he didn’t do anything in the book..(literally!! due to him getting less page time). he tried so much to push James towards Cordelia and calling him out so many times on his behaviour with Grace but what did James do? asked him if ‘he loved anyone else more than the bottle in his hand‘! Yeah kudos James that’s the perfect way of calling someone out for being an Alcoholic. And ppl being wrecked over the ending like guys what do u expect? it’s the second book in a triology!! It just proves that they’ll gonna be end game and live happily ever after. Matthew taking Cordelia to Paris is not him breaking the bro code at all( he is sure that James love Grace and he sees the girl he loves in a vulnerable state, so how is he wrong to take her to Paris just to see a smile on her face? and it’s not like they are gonna stay there forever). although I do acknowledge the fact that it would have been better if he just talked to James about it. But again it’s the second book and the whole book is set on the miscommunication trope.

And pls ppl defending Alastair and blaming Matthew for everything should grow tf up! Both of them are my fav characters from the series... I love Alastair so much and I’m so happy to see his redemption arc but he’s not redeemed to his full potential yet. Like all of you saying he tried to apologise to Merry thieves so much but all of them were being assholes! But did he really tried to apologise to anyone accept Thomas (who is his love interest in the book)? It was James who suggested that both of them should be on good terms bcoz of Cordelia, Alastair didn’t even try. And about Matthew and Alastair I Think both of them should apologise to each other.. if they even have a decent conversation.

So guys pls stop hating on him for things he is not responsible for!

Chain of Iron Spoilers

It’s been a week since i read it but i’m still not over chain of iron! I just wanted to talk about some characters and i’m gonna start with Alastair, gosh i love him, i love how he supports his sister and love her unconditionally, i love how he cares about his family, i love how he followed Thomas for the patrols bcoz he was worried about him, i love how he don’t wanna be anyone’s secret, i love how he loves Thomas enough to let him go bcoz he thinks Merry thieves will not accept him and i can go on and on. So in general I didn’t have any problems with his character.

Now Matthew, my second favourite character from the book! So apparently half of the people are hating on him bcoz he came in between jordelia. But guys, it is not his fault at all.. and personally i like Matthew and Cordelia dynamic more sometimes bcoz we got to know how their friendship developed through out the series and how they both have a healthy relationship but i still agree on the point that jordelia should be the endgame and fairstairs should have a platonic relationship. And I really, i really wanted atleast one paragraph from Matthew’s POV but we didn’t get it and it makes me anxious about the next book. Is he gonna be killed?become a down worlder? get strip of his ruins? we don’t know! and him missing from the family tree doesn’t help abt it at all. I’m worried abt him the most bcoz.. we don’t get to know what is going on inside his pretty little head bcoz we don’t get his POV. Alas, I just wish he starts loving himself till the end of the series.

Now Cordelia, she is one of my favourite protagonist of all time (after Tessa) and I loved her in Chog but in Choi she was like too perfect aside for the fact that she had terrible communication with other characters (accept for Matthew). And I loved the scene where she demanded James to kiss her to take a revenge. But overall I love love Cordelia.

James, poor James Herondale. It’s like I didn’t like him much in chog bcoz of all the hurt he caused (unintentionally) to Cordelia. But in the second book he totally had me simping over him. And i’ll love to see a confrontation scene between James and Cordelia & James and Matthew in Chot.

Lucie, Lucie, Lucie I personally love her but I am not necessarily happy with the choices she made in the book. I just didn’t like the fact that she had a completely different storyline going on and wasn’t interecting much with Cordelia and Merry thieves in the book. Otherwise i love her and Jesse.

Christopher Lightwood? I fucking adore him and just want more of his scenes in the next book.

Anna&Ariadne (kamala).. tbh i was so excited about them in Choi but they sought of disappointed me. Like Anna was a complete arsehole to Ariadne.. I understand she was heartbroken by Ariadne when she agreed to marry charles. But it’s 20th century we are talking about, not everyone is comfortable with their sexuality like Anna is and she should understand it.

Thomas Lightwood? I just wanna see him happy.

Grace Blackthorn.. I don’t loath her but I don’t like her either lol.

And about Chain of thorn i so want a big twist or something in that one, TLH is a character driven story so I don’t think a plot twist is something which is gonna surprise me. Idk i always like the unexpected ending and that is one of the reasons why i love tid( who could have expected Jem to become a silent brother? And Tessa getting a happy ending with both of them. When i read the clockwork angel i was so sure she’s gonna end up with Will.) So if everyone is gonna end up like as mentioned in family tree i’ll be disappointed. And doing some heartbreaking stuff with Matthew is soughta predictable as well, so overall I just wanna be surprised by the ending.

Ok so James said, “Someone who broke your heart is not often the person who can mend it” to Cordelia and what if.. like what IF it’s a foreshadowing for the James*Cordelia*Matthew love triangle and how James broke her heart but Matthew will be the one who mend it?! If that happens i’ll be so devastated bcoz I love James so much but I love Matthew too ugh!
