Ah, I'm flattered at your offer, thank you. I would appreciate a hug, though I hope you aren't doing this because you feel obligated to. Despite my past hardships, I have still managed to come out mostly alright in the end. If it were not for my close friends and allies, things may have gone far worse for me. I thank you for the sentiment, it is nice to know that so many people wish to see me well. And, if you do not mind me correcting you, the correct spelling is Faerghus. It's quite the tricky name to spell if you're not used to it, and I do not fault people for misspelling it.

Have you ever accidentally found yourself in the moat and had to fish yourself out?

Thankfully, I have not. Even in my most absentminded moments, I was fortunate to have guards around to shout at me to make sure I didn't lose my footing and fall in. It may seem rude as I say it here, and I apologize because I mean no disrespect to them. They merely let me know to make sure I know where I'm going, and it helps break me out of whatever train of thought I was immersed in. I'm grateful to them for their work, surely a cloak as large as mines would be quite the hindrance to try to swim with if I did ever fall in.

Your majesty, earlier today I was helping at one of the orphanages in Fhirdiad and encountered a little girl with the Crest of Blaiddyd. I can guess she’s your cousin, not your daughter, especially given your late uncle’s… Habits. Should she be brought to the palace, if for no other reason than many things here already being reinforced so your family members can’t accidently break them?

I.... see. I was aware that my uncle's habits were rather unsavory, but I wasn't aware of the repercussions of it. I suppose that was the boon of youth, the fact that I was oblivious of what exactly my uncle was doing and only hearing of it in hushed tones. I believe that bringing her to the palace will do her good, regardless of the circumstances of her birth. She is family, and I will ensure that she is treated as such. Here she can learn how to control her strength, as unpredictable as it inevitably will be due to the nature of our shared Crest. No one should have to suffer from the carelessness of my late uncle, and I can only hope that she will thrive here.

Ah, thank you! I am doing as well as one might expect, it's busy but fulfilling work and I'm glad to be able to make a difference for the people. That is... a very complicated question. There isn't a proper grave for either her or Father, the wreckage all but incinerated them there. There lies a grave marker for both Stepmother and Father, so I will be sure to leave it there. *touches the petals softly* Blue roses, hm? An intriguing color. *awkwardly waves* Hi everyone, it's been a while hasn't it? Sorry, college has taken a lot out of me and i've only just scrounged up the motivation to come back to this blog! I will be closing the inbox for the time being so I can get through older asks (that are 6+ months old ;u;) so don't be alarmed if the option for it isn't there right now!

Also! I won't be particularly bothered if I get asks for Three Hopes, but I don't see myself being very invested in it, so I don't know how well I will be able to answer asks regarding it. I won't know very much about it, but I will use a spoiler tag for it out of courtesy.

If you were ever to have a son, would you be happy if he were to choose a Duscurian woman as his queen?

If I were to have a son, I would be happy with whoever he chose to have as a partner. Their country of origin means nothing to me as long as my son and his partner love and care for each other. But if it was a woman from Duscur specifically, I would be more than happy to welcome her into the family. I would hope their union can help repair the divide between our two lands, and bring a greater understanding of each other as people and not enemies. My original point stands though, love should have no boundaries and I would only wish to see my son be happy.

I heard that you are going to start allowing people from all walks of life representation in governance. How exactly are you going to make that work? Are nobles angry at you for doing that?

Yes, that is true. How I intend to do that is create a sort of... meritocracy? Is that the correct word for it? The kingdom is already divided into smaller sections, and so it would simply be a matter of implementing a system where the aristocracy is slowly replaced with a republic where the people can vote for the leaders they want. It's very ambitious of me, I am aware, and something that is unlikely to be completed in my lifetime. But as long as I am able to create a solid foundation on which my successors can complete this, that is all I wish to do. My father attempted to do something like this during his lifetime, though from what I remembered the nobility did not take well to his more radical approach. Speaking of the nobility... They are not exactly pleased with the prospect of losing their power. But I wonder to myself as I watch the kingdom rebuild, is it not a good time to try and reform the country? The war has exposed the deep flaws within the system we use, the Crest system, so would it not be wise to take what we have learned from it and use it so we do not repeat our mistakes? I'm hoping for a more gradual approach to introducing a new system so that the nobles are more agreeable towards me. I understand why they would be wary of me, I did disappear for five years only to return half out of my mind. I'm too emotional for the more traditional nobles and I know they're afraid that I may snap again. So I am doing my utmost to ensure that I can work with them to gain their trust and prove that my plan is one that will help the people far into the future.

Why, this is lovely! I’ve received so many drawings people have made of me recently, I’m deeply honored and flattered that all of you have taken the time and energy to make art of me! The likeness you’ve made of me is quite adorable, I hope you don’t take offense to that. I hope this doesn’t come off as strange, but I enjoy it when people draw me smiling. To see another version of myself happy, even as a drawing, fills me with joy because it means that people have envisioned me this way while drawing me. Serious portraits of me are just as important, but these small personal drawings of me bring a smile to my face. Thank you very much for it.
