A Feeling
(just a sarv lore drabble bc we can :])
tw ;; blood, murder, knife, death, pain
--
The first time she felt it, it was shortly after she realized she was given another chance.
A life full of sin, a life full of regrets, and yet none of that compared to this feeling.
It tingled, it burned, it stung, it hurt. It hurt, and they didn't know how to make it subside.
It started in pinks throat, a simple cough, nothing more. But it grew, spreading throughout pinks entire body.
The best way she could describe it was that it was an ache, a hole inside that could not be quenched. She felt empty, hopeless, guilty, regret.
They would swear it was their personal hell.
But pink didn't know how to deal with it at first, so the most pink would do is simply sit through it, a smile on their face as they whispered those words.
"I'm okay!"
--
The next few times this feeling came, Sarv coped with it the only way she knew how.
Sure, those people were innocent, but was anyone innocent in this hellish world?
The blood dripped down their fingertips, but much to their surprise, the ache didn't go away.
It only got worse.
Pink keeled over in pain, gasping for breath, gasping for life. It hurt, everything hurt, and pink knew that maybe this wasn't the best plan pink had had.
When it faded, she was a heap on the floor, the innocent blood mixing with her own. She let out a raspy laugh, a mix between shock and horror.
But they still whispered those words.
"I'm okay."
--
She ran a church now. She discovered that for some reason, those damn pains went away whenever she stood by the "holy" church.
They met a strange person along the way, reminded them of someone they once knew, but other than that everything was a blur.
And as pink knelt beneath the brilliant statue, a statue of the one who resolved pink to this fate, pink opened pinks mouth to speak.
Of course, the blood dripping from her mouth made her stop.
This was a new symptom of the pains, along with the emptiness and aches, the blood was probably mean to show them a lesson. A lesson they certainly wouldn't understand anytime soon.
Pink brought a hand to pinks lips, sighing before wiping them off. But the blood kept flowing, and pinks body kept shaking, and now pink was a heap on the floor. Just like all the times in the past.
But even when the familiar stranger stood before her, panicking on what to do, she simply mumbled those words.
"I-I'm okay."
--
She's in a void now. Everyone's seem edto have forgotten her and she was beginning to forget herself.
The church had never looked so disordered, so broken, because they never allowed the church to reach this state.
But given that the ones above didn't care about pinks fate anymore, why should pink try to keep up the picture perfect church? Pink much preferred the chaos anyway.
...At least, that's what she told herself.
If they were being honest with themself, they'd know that the pains had only grown worse throughout their stay here, the plane between existence and death far more straining on them then they'd like to admit.
But despite the forever sprouting wings, despite the blood that trickled from pinks eyes, pink opened pinks mouth.
"I..."
The single word echoed in the space, reaching her ears and mocking her.
How ridiculous it was, to say such a phrase after everything. They knew it was a lie, why did they keep saying it anyway?
Pink couldn't seem to find an answer.
"..."
--
Spring was here now. The flowers bloomed as brilliantly as ever, covering the entire church and its cracks.
The "nun" stood in the middle, a bright grin on her face as she hummed, tending to all the foliage.
Ever since that day, they had found...Peace. And it seems as though the feeling had as well.
What was once an ache in pinks soul was filled with the plants, each blooming flower only making pink stronger.
Perhaps she should've known that old god would be cheesy with the symbolism. But, it wasn't like she minded it either.
A deep breath in, a deep breath out. They twirl a rose in their fingers, placing it off to the side. They would have to give that one as a thanks.
Pink reaches a hand up towards the sunlight, beaming before whispering those words.
"I'm okay."
And for once in this existence, she actually meant it.

Sarv sighs gently, squeezing the other in a reassuring way. "You're absolutely wonderful no matter what hon, and I'm sorry that people don't see that." She hums, a bitter laugh escaping her, "Sounds like you've been through a lot, huh? I'll try to help you to the best of my abilities, just know that I'm always here for you."
"Hello dear..."
@demonic-warrior
Sarv glances up before a loud gasp escapes her. "SALEN!" They run up to the other, practically vibrating from how excited they are. Pink's trying super hard to not tackle the other in a hug- "How are ya??"

The demon hesitated but then nodded.
“O- okay… I trust you.”
She brushed her hair away from her face, revealing golden-yellow eyes contrasting with scleras. Without thinking, she grabbed Sarv’s hand.
“M- my name is Alexandria… what’s yours?”
Ooc: Remember Alex? This is an AU where she’s a demon
(ooo i see i see!!)
Sarv smiles slightly, beginning to help the other up. "I'm Sarv! And I'd take you to my home, but I know churches aren't the most comfortable places for everyone-"
