word vomits everywhere
the sims 2 ultimate collection just randomly appeared in my ea app library, as if bestowed upon me by some merciful sims 2 fairy angel baby, so i'm playing the hell out of it while i can because i've wanted to play again since I was a teen (i'm 31 yolooo)
so anyway this is where i gonna throw sims 2 stuff so that my sims 4 and main tumblr doesn't chase away all the sims 2 haters out there (don't worry, i used to be one too but only because i was BITTER that i couldn't play it and also b/c i genuinely do love sims 4 and would choose it over everything else if i could only pick one sims game to play forever. don't worry tho, im no longer a hater and i have atoned for my sins, i promise)

📩 Simblr question of the day: It's time to appreciate the small things! What's a small detail from one of your posts that you love? Could be a small tattoo on a sim, specific clutter in a sims' room, a little detail in a render or screenshot, whatever is applicable to you
I'm so happy to finally get a SQotD!
I've always really liked the way the night sky/stars looked in this specific screenshot, from an old Mermay post n_n

i want to be a player in more d&d games, one every other week isn't enough.
(and dm'ing once every other week is a different kind of fun versus being a player, so I'm not counting that game)

So here's how my sims 2 adventures are going:
Decided I wanted to make a custom hood.
Picked a map.
Began making 20 starting Sims in Bodyshop.
Opened each bodyshop Sim in CAS to give them personality and names.
Had all 20 Sims ready to go in bin.
Decided I hated the map and wanted to download a custom one.
Spent ages trying to find one, then several more figuring out how to add downloaded lots to the game.
(Attempted to build my own house before the previous step but it was going like shit and took forever)
Spent an hour+ editing a maxis house before decided to delete it (I saved it to the new map's bin).
Decided to move one of my bin sims into an empty lot before I decide what house to give them.
Realized my sims were all saved to the bin of the map I deleted, so they're all gone.
Considering weeping over the lost hours.
In all seriousness though, I am sort of looking forward to redoing those Sims. The original bodyshop versions are still there, but I wasn't totally satisfied with their names or the way I distributed their personalities. I also have been very disappointed in most of the make-up CC I've found. I might considering looking for more before i redo those Sims.
I did try to download some clothing CC, but it made CAS lag so I decided it wasn't worth it. I only kept some fem swimsuits, because Sims 2 really dropped the ball in that department.
I'm having so much fun with this game, though. Sims 4 is not abandoned, but I'm about to have a couple of very busy months so I won't have much time to devote to Sims 4 anyway. I'm going to enjoy playing Sims 2 and having my fun with it while I can!

I think skorts were the best invention and I want to see more of them in adult wardrobes. Like, it's an easy chub rub protector. I wanna wear cute skirts but with some extra protection underneath
And after the news about that guy filming up women's skirts and dresses in target.....

Any sims 2 players who use SimPE, can you tell me if I uninstall it, will the changes I made using it stay?
I only want this to adjust the lifespan length of my Sims and nothing else, and I don't like keeping programs if I don't need to.

ATTN: Just popping by to say that if you are purchasing the new kits today - particularly the Urban Homage kit - be sure to use the creator code "EBONIX" at checkout!
Collab creators do not make any percentage of the revenue after release, they're just paid a flat rate up front, so if you want a little of the proceeds to go to the creator, use code "EBONIX" at checkout (it costs you nothing!!!). Also worth noting that because they had some issues with codes in the app today, creators will apparently receive 10% commission instead of 5% commission the next 48 hrs. (LilSimsie shared this in her overview video!)
Again, code "EBONIX" at checkout. Support black creators!
