Strangely, I've only ever envisioned Bart as the only Core Four member who ends up going to college. Cassie can't attend due to having a public identity, Tim didn't graduate high school and doesn't need another reason to never sleep, and Kon is content to go wherever the wind takes him.

Also with Bart being part of a supportive family filled with brainy people like Joan, Jay, Jesse, Linda, and Barry I feel like he would have all the support in the world if he wanted to apply anywhere. He would also definitely study something tech-related.

go watch Extraordinary on Hulu it’s smart, it’s funny, it’s sweet. 

it’s about a girl in a world where everyone gets superpowers when they turn 18 but she didn’t. It explores her jealousy, and self-discovery journey 

it’s really great for anyone who’s always felt different and out of place in the world

ALSO there’s a full blown man with the mannerisms of a cat and I’m obsessed with him. 

Please watch this show, it’s already been renewed for a season 2 so you don’t have to worry about it being unceremoniously cancelled.

1 I love making all kinds of art in every medium imagineble, one of my favorite is acrylic painting and coloring and doing coloring and detail work for friends (well one friend, who's legit the coolest @mecha-nations ) sketches. (I'm apparently decent at it even though I can't really get the full action of digital down)

2 ooo I love comics (mostly the characters) and reading whatever my darling friend who asked creations she's super talented and really gets dc.

3 reading well listening to audiobooks, it's a total reading life saver when you just can't sit and read (I have either too much energy or none at all), audio dramas too omg I dream of working with people who makes great shows like @ardenpodcast or @tidespodcast and so many others

4 writing and creating stories has always been a big part of my life and I do love it even if it drives me up the wall or leaves me frozen to do anything else.

5 food, not the best at cooking but I try my best at baking and love the exact science of it, taste is my most used sense I really like food, especially pasta.

I feel like I'm having a religious experience bc for years before the Sandman TV adaptation came out, whenever people brought up the comics i'd be like "Oh I think I've read a Sandman comic! It was uhhhhhhh that one manga where the two dead teenage detectives solved a disappearance at an all-girl's boarding school in drag?" and everyone was like "what in the goddamn hell are you talking about" and only today do i find out today that my visions were REAL, it EXISTS and it WAS a Sandman spin-off and is actually part of a continuing series and is getting a NETFLIX ADAPTATION

I hate when Bart Allen is shoe-horned into the role of "silly speedster guy". He is so much more complex. He is desperate to do good, he spaces out, he is so protective of the people he loves, he is angry (with the world and himself) more often that one might think, he is firmly loyal, he is fighting an uphill battle against his own nature.

He is not just a goofy guy.

I love the issue of Impulse where Bart and his gang of friends go off and perform a flurry of petty crimes and Bart just goes along with it like it's NBD (it really wasn't) and they never even address the shenanigans as being petty crimes but rather they are just normal shit teen boys get into and it really was just so beautiful.
