hi! i have a question, what do you do to change the colors to the pinker orange shade in the final step of your drawings? i noticed it has different colors, more brown-ish? when you post only wips
Lots of tweaking and playing around with color balances and adjustments. You can do this on procreate under the adjustments. It’s a lot of fun once you get to know how it works!

HOW DO U COLOR HAIR? 😭😭😭 especially the Colt shag pleasee
Hair is interesting! There’s a lot to consider. For colt specifically, his hair is very fluffy. It doesn’t lay flat, the tuffs are everywhere and kind of have a mind of their own. The best way to describe it is like drawing or coloring animal’s fur. His hair is very layered, too. And his highlights are moreso in the front, so creating a gradient of brown to bleach blonde is important to keep in mind.
I start by coloring all of his hair brown, and then I gradually lighten the hue, only coloring the front bangs. Then I add one more layer of a brighter gradient, highlight the bangs.

Hi Annie! Would you be open to make a speedpaint or drawing tutorial of one of your drawings sometime? I love your art so much, I’d die to see the process of it
I can certainly find some time to post a speedpaint for sure! I’ll have to pick one out!

Do you use references for your poses? And for art, for example when you draw certain people?
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t! When it comes to subjects like Gosling, I use them A LOT during the first wave of art of him. Just to get a feel for how to draw his face or how his features work. And then I can be able to use them less and less. But, I still pull them up whenever I need to figure out how a certain angle would look and such!
As for poses, yes, I use references all the time! If something is too difficult to figure out, I try to find a similar pose and reference that.
I often draw what’s in my head, but there is NO shame in using references. If something is confusing you or is too difficult to execute, pull up a reference! Use them whenever you can! They’re a super useful tool :)

How did you find your own art ”style”?
I have a problem with always rendering too much and ending up drawing too realistic, how can I learn how to draw more in my ”own”, ”cartoon-ish” style?
That’s a bit of a tough question!
Your style might change a lot over time. I still find myself switching and experimenting with ways to change it up. I think it’s something that isn’t stagnant. But what I’ve done is just take after artists I look up to. Be inspired by them. Watch speedpaints to observe techniques. Even follow after your favorite cartoons or movies. Try all kinds of things until something feels good to you. Even the smallest things, whether that’s how you draw eyes or hair or clothes. How you shade. How you draw poses. It’s a very subjective way of going about making your own style, and I don’t think it’s easy to find an exact answer, but I think you should definitely try experimenting with all kinds of styles you haven’t tried before. Try some. Combine a few. See what happens!

Hi!! how did you create this blue and pink effect on the recent Driver drawing? It looks lovely!
On procreate, you can create different gradient maps. It gives you some sample ones to try, but you can make your own custom color choices until you see what works!
The one I used for the recent driver art looks like this

What brushes do you use for your artworks? I love your style!
Recently I’ve been using the pre-made procreate inking brush called “gesinski ink!”
