IT’S TAKEN MUCH OF HIS COURAGE to shuffle onto the training grounds at all. on top of it, he carefully picked out the moment they would be at their most deserted - close to dinnertime, when most of the soldiers have already vacated the sparring circles to queue up for the coming meal, and only the most determined remain. zeno clears his throat loudly as he approaches, all the while keeping a careful eye on the dangerously sharp spear in shuten’s grip. the green dragon does have something of a tendency to wave it around recklessly…or perhaps it’s only at seiryuu. ❛ ryokuryuu, ❜ he begins, willing himself not to trip over his own tongue, ❛ can i ask you a favor? ❜ and, before he can lose his nerve : ❛ c-could you help me train? ❜
STARTER CALL for @arienheart ( shuten ).
even though he was now far stronger than he was before, shuten still enjoyed training and keeping his skills sharp. especially since he still fought with a polearm rather than focusing on his dragon leg. it was because of this that the ryokuryuu warrior was one of the last to leave the training grounds in the army quarters. ( something a certain princess couldn’t claim. ) the dragon senses did warn him to the ouryuu’s presence though, and shuten turned to face him with a twirl of his spear before leaning on it to hear zeno’s question.
just as well, because he had to laugh right away. “ tired of having to run away all the time kid? “ was he actually older than the former soldier, sure. but they had such different lives that it was hard for shuten to see zeno as someone older. “ i mean, can’t say i blame ya. i’d hate it if i was only good for gettin’ the princess out of the way once he’s run out of that eye power. “

@arienheart wanted a starter from Hibika to Kinu.
“Bonjour! Je suis à la maison!” Hibika literally skates her way into Kinu’s home, regardless of old floorboards made of mood that one would not want to get scratched. Eh, this floor has seen so much destruction over the years! “- Ki-Ki! You better be awake!” She’s waving around a little gift back.
She had just got back from her trip to Paris. She knows, she left without telling anyone really - and she had just had her ear bitten off by Chizuru for already zooming off… and she wasn’t looking at her phone which was bleeping every other hour by one of her parents, but here she was!
it was fairly common for kinu to sleep away her mornings, especially after spending all night working on some work for her college courses. ( her father had warned her of the work necessary to become a doctor, but she had still chosen that path. ) but early afternoon? then she was making her way to the kitchen, searching for the right tea to wake herself up.
the sound of hibika’s voice, however, drew a smile to kinu’s face. “ in the kitchen, hiba-chan. “ it was good to know that she was alright, after that impulsive trip overseas. and, as kinu was fairly certain that chizuru had been yelling at her for that move, she would hold back the chiding. besides, she was truly glad to see her relative again. “ how was paris? get the inspiration you wanted? “
