Scout – A Pause

Hi everyone! I don't think it will come as a surprise to anyone that I have not been keeping up our regularly scheduled programming :)

I'm putting Scout: An Apocalypse Story on hold for the next 3-4 months, and then I'll offer an update around that time. I feel like y'all must have heard every version of the "chaotic personal life" update by now, and I fully empathize with the disappointment of an incomplete story experience, but...it's real.

I have a full-time job, I have school and I have now an explosion of other factors that have recently come into my life. I love Scout and this story and this project and I love working on it, but I simply do not have the time to write recently – and this likely won't change in upcoming months.

So instead of the frequent checking that I know at least some people are doing (which I adore...thank you), I'm going to take a pause. Just a short pause for now. I know exactly where this story will go and how it will progress and how it will end I just don't have the stupid time to write.

Thank you, seriously, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who has rated Scout, played Scout, sent me an ask, PRODUCED ART OMG, and supported Scout in any way, shape or form. I am proud to know y'all and get to speak with you and hopefully give you something you enjoy.

Thank you, times a million – Scout will not be unfinished, but it will be paused.

This might be a dumb question, but did you ever get around to writing the cigarette scene in Oli's pov? (also loved that scene btw... the absolute YEARNING that radiates from the Oli route is incredible)

The cigarette scene was definitely the most requested from an RO POV, so it's on my list, but I haven't completed it yet. Chapter 5 has been an absolute behemoth to write, so I'm trying to fully focus on that right now. 💚

I actually erased one I nearly completed because I was completely unhappy with how I drew one part of it lol. Oliver has been giving me Li Shang vibes. Mostly because I could totally see him saying, "You fight good," instead of telling the MC how he feels about them. 😂😂 Also idk if this did a double ask, I tried to send one before, but Tumblr is being weird lol.

Oliver is, giving him the slightest bit of credit, a bit more forward than that if he believes those feelings are returned. At this point in the story, that just feels like a pipe dream to him.

an mc befriending gage and building a deep kind of friendship, would E feel any kind of. worry? i don't want to say jealous🙈🙈 that feels almost childish w the amnt of codependent vibes im getting from E/Mc...just wondering since in a romance route E has kept the mc as a close friend to ensure they stayed that way 👁️

The only worry that E would likely feel is a worry for MC's safety and general trust in Gage. E and MC certainly need each other, in a rather intense way, but E doesn't feel that jealousy when MC has other close friends.
