saw a tiktok of a mother taking her very tiny daughter to an art museum and she’s just walking around going “whoooa” “woooaah” to everything but then they got to a marble statue of a nude woman lying on her back and the girl points and goes “mommy🫵” and i just immediately welled up with tears and all the comments are just laughing about it and of course it’s funny but how are you not insanely moved by the way art connects everyone on earth from a centuries-old sculptor to a toddler in 2023
shalem talks pretty slow normally and even slower when hes saying some insane shit like he can feel himself failing to be normal and is trying to at least limit the amount of insane shit that actually leaves his mouth so I like to think he actually tends to talk a bit fast naturally and is aware of this and overcompensating. I really like that even after spending a whole childhood being trained by the most tryhard committed actors on terra he's still just not a very good actor. not completely dogshit certainly, he knows the theory, but he's honestly just not great at applying it. his absolute best performance of A Normal Person has something blatantly wrong with him with his every word, the act slips incredibly easily in the face of exciting violence, and he's not great at improvising lies either. he only knows one role and it's not this one. the whole crux of his backstory(TM) is that He Does Not Have What It Takes to really be good at acting. all the mental illnesses and only a passable amount of the skill. i love this guy so much
I still don't think I've fully processed how wild it is that there's a plot point in WarioWare: Move It! (2023) that assumes the player has not only completed Rhythm Heaven Fever (2011), but has specifically completed the two-player endless games in Rhythm Heaven Fever (2011)
