Real talk, my family recently moved from Southern California to Washington State. The house we sold in SoCal had lots of beautiful, lively colors in each room; those colors were a huge part of what drew me to the house. I loved them.

We were forced to paint them all over that bland depression gray every house seems to be these days. I was kind of heartbroken. I felt like we’d torn the soul out of that house by leaving.

New tin foil hat theory: the rise and propagation of minimalist home decor is meant to manage expectations for a desired culture of renters.

Welp, Westley has apparently developed a taste for cable wiring bc he’s chewed through the power cord to my printer and the cord for my speakers in the last 24 hours! Love it!! Absolutely adore sitting in silence because if I put my headphones on I can’t hear that little gremlin being stinky. EVEN NOW AS I TYPE THIS HE IS TRYING TO COMMIT A THIRD CABLE MURDER >:|
