in the end, relating to aziraphale really is all about anxiously wanting to be good and kind and perfect and wanting to be told you're doing good because you can't trust your own judgement and wanting to be reassured all the time and then slowly - slowly learning that you actually can and should decide about yourself and you can and should trust that you know what's right and that you are actually not perfect at all and that you don't need to pretend to be and that you're actually a bit of a bastard and it's okay and you're okay even though you're not what you always thought you should be and you're yourself and that's how it should be huh
