[ Hello Everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and have acclimated back into your usual schedules! I'm here to say that despite my schedule being a bit fuller, that I want to keep my blogs active this year! That includes the Santas! ]

[ I've just gone on a massive cleanse of my old blogs, where I used to have 10+ blogs open and nagging at me to be used, I now have 4 left. These 4 blogs are the ones that I think I'm the most passionate for! ]

[ Santaverse of course will always be here, but I'm taking a different approach to how I manage it all year long that I'll talk about in another post! It includes having a smaller roster until the holidays, and even making art for any inbox asks! ]

[ @gnorcx is going to remain open too! I've put so much love into these little npcs, that I couldn't bear to leave them now! There's a few new Spyro blogs on the scene too, so this'll be a good time for the boys to disrupt any peace haha! ]

[ @allstars-apt is going to make a comeback soon! Truth be told, I haven't stopped writing the All-Stars? Literally every day on discord I have at least one All-Star doing something. I want to bring that energy to Tumblr! I have so much contained lore for that blog, I need to give the blog a fresh coat and show you all just how much the Apartments have grown! ]

[ Lastly, @nintoondo is staying! I have such a massive LOVE for Nintendo's cartoons, and lately, I've been really soaking up 80s Nintendo media? So my musings for this blog are through the ROOF. I primarily want to work on the blog on weekends, but expect a comeback very soon! ]

[ Well!! That's it for now y'all! I'm sorry I keep disappearing, but truth be told, it's the friends I've made here that keep bringing me back. I can't wait to see what this year holds for my little passion projects here! Until then, have a nice 3 day weekend everyone! ]

[ thinkin bout how I never thought about the minions when establishing the all-stars apartments! if u didn't know, ps allstars has unlockable characters called minions; they're chibi versions of iconic characters who cheer for your fighter if they get multi-kills! ]

[ every series represented with a fighter has a minion (for example, Ratchet & Clank have Captain Qwark, Cole has Zeke, and Kat has Raven!) but there's even a few series who DON'T have a fighter but DO have minions! Carnival Island, Mod Nation Racers, & Hot Shots Golf are only some examples! ]

[ SO i think i'll incorporate minions as a way to make the Apartments bigger! These characters are the ones who watch the battles but don't participate! MAYBE... I'll add them on this blog in the future! As a treat! 😌 ]

“ It all began Ten years ago. “

“ I successfully lured many of Gaming’s Greatest Heroes and Villains alike into an all out Battle Royale with the promise of POWER. In truth, I gathered them and pitted them against each other to wipe them from existence! If I couldn’t be Playstation’s Best, why did they? But in my haste, I nearly failed to realize the miracle I had created. If I had Gaming Royalty in my grasp… Why destroy, when I could simply keep them? Thus, the Apartments were made. The Complex was a domain that existed outside of timelines, reset buttons, and rage-quits! It was a place where the All-Stars and their worlds were free to converge without worry of limitations! Of course, competitions would still arise, mostly for my entertainment, but nonetheless… It has been an honor being your Player One for these Ten Years, my All-Stars. You’ve continued to impress and intrigue me and other gamers throughout our time spent together, and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for us all! “

“ Uh, thanks Polygon Man. “ Drake responded, raising his red solo cup to the floating head. He cleared his throat, then faced the others. “ Ahem- …Ten years, huh? Kinda feels like yesterday when we are all tryin’ to beat the shit outta each other. “ He scoffs. “ But, for all the dumb things we’ve done, we’ve grown a hell of a lot closer even moreso. It’s been an honor bein’ with you guys. “ He raised his red solo cup. “ Here’s to Ten Years. “ 

There were cheers coming from the entire room. Before they could fully die down however, a voice interrupted from the crowd. 

“ From the moment I laid eyes on you all, I knew you were trouble. “ Hale spoke from across the room. He took a swig of his drink, then stood up to face everyone. “ You were unauthorized civilians about to be collateral damage. But after some time getting to know you all, I feel I’ve become a better man for doing so. “ The soldier brought his legs together, stood tall, and placed his hand on his head, saluting everyone. “ Thank you, soldiers. “

“ It’s thanks to you guys- PaRappa especially, that I got to learn how to have more fun! “ Spike smiled. “ I’ve been catchin’ monkeys and saving the world for so long, I almost forgot how to do that! Happy Ten years, guys! “

“ You’re welcome, Spike! “ PaRappa gave Spike a thumbs up. “ I’m just glad we’ve all been able to hang out so much! I joined the tournament in order to impress my friends, but I ended up makin’ new ones instead! No matter what happens, we’re family! “ 

“ RRRRRRRGH…. !!! “ Big Daddy roared. 

“ I know that’s right, Tiny! “ Daxter tried to give the diver a highfive, but as he did, Big Daddy’s lights flashed red. “ RRR… “ His growl was enough of a signal for Daxter to nervously back away and hop onto Jak’s shoulder. “ …Yeesh, you’d think Ten Years would give that guy enough time to learn about hygiene! “ 

“ Dax and I know what it’s like to end up in an unfamiliar world. “ Jak began. “ Dunno how it happens, but every time we end up gettin’ attached to the people we meet. You’re all alright. “ 

“ You’re not too bad yourself! “ Ratchet smirked towards Jak, which he rolled his eyes at.  “ Look, I’m not the best with stuff like this, but… It’s been really nice havin’ a place we can always call home. We’ve been stuck in worse places, haven’t we, pal? “ He nudged the robot on his back. “ Indeed, Ratchet. “ Clank nodded. “ It has truly been an honor to be in the presence of you all! I believe we’ve changed each other for the better! “

“ …For the most part. “ Ratchet added, raising an eyebrow to the clown beside him. 

“ HAHAHAHA!!! IF YA ASK ME, IT’S BEEN TEN YEARS OF ANNOYING ASS NEIGHBORS AND A GUT-WRENCHINGLY LOW AMOUNT OF FATALITIES HERE. THE ONLY HIGHLIGHTS ARE THE TIMES I GET TO CAUSE SOME MAYHEM. “

“ Sooooo, basically every day then? “ Sly asked, sipping his mug quietly. 

“ YEAH…. I GUESS SO. BRINGIN’ CHAOS TO YOU TWERPS HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY PAST TEN YEARS. WHAT’S TEN MORE, THEN? HAHAHAHA!! “

“ I’ve gotta agree with Jak and Ratchet. I’ve been all over the globe, and no heist’s been as wild as this place. You all keep things fun, who doesn’t love that? “

“ FUN? “ Heihachi questioned. “ HAH!! The only FUN thing about you fools is defeating you in any tournament!! It’s always a treat hearing your screams when I send you to outer space!! HAHAHAHA!! “

“ There’s nothing fun about Outer Space. “ Issac snapped. “ You guys are better than fixin’ things in Space any day. These past few years have been a damn cakewalk compared to all that. I appreciate the change in atmosphere. “

“ The real fun’s been all the stupid shit we’ve been able to get into! “ Dante remarked. “ I mean, fightin’ alright, but who else is willin’ to break into Smash Manor, have a karaoke party with floatin’ heads and hands, and fight bigass monsters all in the same week? You guys know how to party. “

“ You can’t have parties without CAAAAAAKE!!!~ “ Fat Princess sang sourly. “ It’s been one yummy cake adventure after the other with you all! What could be better than making friends for life and having cake too? This Kingdom is wonderful!!!~ “ She wraps her hands around Evil Cole, who scowls, then breaks away from her. 

“ i’ve never met a bigger group of annoying nobodies in my life, than all of you. yet… things were shit back at my old place. fightin’, walkin’ up and bein’ pissed at the smashers, gettin’ zeke back… honestly, i can’t think of a better place to be. “ He crossed his arms and turned away from everyone. “ just don’t think too much into it. “

“ I have lost everything I have loved. “ Kratos begins. “ Zeus and the other so-called gods robbed me of joy, so I met them with the same in return. “ He gives the old god a vicious glare. “ But this realm has reunited me with my brother. His second chance at life… I owe the Head much for that. “

Deimos happily grabs his brother by the shoulders and shakes him lovingly. “ I too owe the Head my thanks! I was slain as my brother and I reforged our bond. Now, we make up for many years lost. This realm and you all have been the hope I longed for many years ago!! TO TEN YEARS!! “ Deimos lifted his mug up high. 

“ I’m pretty sure I’d be dead too if not for this place, “ Cole remarked. “ I put everything on the line to save my world, and I thought there was nothing more for me after that. Turns out, hey- Hangin’ out with a bunch of wackjobs is the life for me. It’s been a good ten years. Let’s keep it that way. “

“ As would I, “ Nariko added. “ I gave my life to protect my people… my father… Only to be brought to this strange land. You all reeked of incompetence and posessed an utter lack of strength… But getting to know you all has brought me joy upon so much pain. I thank you for that. “ 

“ HELLO? “ Sir Daniel motioned towards himself in muffled speech. “ I am quite literally walking dead! Ahem… This Kingdom differed greatly from Gallowmere, yet I am filled with pride to have met you all! …Most of you, anyways. To Ten Years! “ He takes a swig of his chalice, and due to his lack of lower jaw, the drink ends up entirely on the ground. 

“ You all are like PESTS to me, “ Zeus said, crossing his arms. “ I had to witness my own son destroy my entire kingdom, THEN be cleaved from it entirely. I continue to be surrounded by fools and mortals… Ten years have felt like an eternity in the depths of Hades. “ 

“ Your description of a painful eternity is pitiful. “ Raiden remarks. “ This place is very far from any form of torture. Hell, it’s been pretty good here. I get to refine my skills, then interact with sane people. Sounds like a good ten years to me. “ 

“ Sane’s pushin’ it. “ Emmett scoffs. “ But you’re right. This place’s far from a hellhole. Sure we’re fightin’ but there’s a difference in fightin’ for fun, and fightin’ to make ends meet. One beats the other, that’s for damn sure. “ 

“ A fight, is a fight, Mr. Graves. “ Colonel Radec said, appearing out of thin air next to Emmett. “ While the Combat you all have displayed lacks a significant amount of skill, each battle brought forth unorthodox strategies. You lot possess more interesting prowess than any past enemy I have fought. No battle nor activity ends the same. As a strategist, you all are a challenge. One that, if surpassed, shall spell certain victory for the Helghast. “

“ I think we’re more than just some data on a board, “ Kat spoke up. “ We’re living, breathing people, with our own thoughts and dreams! Getting to know everyone here has been a lot of fun! I don’t know much about where I come from, but I do know a family when I see one! Thanks for making this place like a second home to me, everyone! “

“ Meeting Mishima-San and making friends with all of my favorite heroes, these past Ten Years have been great!!~ “ Toro happily hopped around. “ I couldn’t wish for anything better! “

Sackboy happily applauded his fellow All-Stars kind words. He then conjured up a few fireworks for everyone! As they exploded (it’s okay, they weren’t flammable) each of the All-Stars’ faces lit up. It was his way of celebrating everyone. 

“ The future isn’t written in stone my All-Stars, but what we’ve accomplished will always be remembered. Go forth, celebrate! Tomorrow however, I expect another great battle from all of you!! “ And like that, Polygon Man disappeared into a great flash of light. 

Following the announcement of another fight, there were immediate murmurs amongst the All-Stars.

“ Another battle huh? “ Sly remarked. He elbowed Drake, then tipped his hat towards him. “ Think you can still keep up, old timer? “ 

“ You kiddin’? I’ve been keepin’ up for ten years! Better watch your back tomorrow, ringtail. “ 

“ It’s on. “ 

Happy Ten Year Anniversary to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale!! This game isn’t perfect to many, but it’s so special to me! Thank you all for being fans of the blog! This isn’t the end of the All-Stars and their Adventures!

For a place that didn’t have any new additions to their roster, The All-Stars Apartments weren’t short on members. Polygon Man showed interest within a lot of worlds! The Hot Shots Golfers, those silly little LocoRoco lads, Tag and his ModNation Racers, Buzz and his deceptively deadly gameshows- there were many unsung All-Stars!

So the fact that there animatronics had randomly appeared one day (most likely due to Polygon Man’s usual influence) really shouldn’t have been a shock to anyone. Yet, whenever any of them were around, many of the All-Stars swiftly avoided the robotic mascots. On one hand, yes- they were quite the scary sight! But to Raiden; someone who was more machine than human, everyone’s behavior was uncalled for. 

Truth be told, Raiden had no idea what the animatronic bear was searching for, but he needed no reason to try and help him. He approached the other, then spoke formally.

“ Hey. Yeah, you. You’re new here, aren’t you? Folks around here aren’t used to machines walking around. Don’t take it personally. “

 Despite the friendly tone coming from the cold and calculated cyborg, Raiden kept one hand near his blade. As welcoming as he was right now, Raiden has had his fair share of dealing with not-so-friendly bots. This was merely instincts at play. 

“ Name’s Raiden. What’s yours? “

Hm... maybe there's like, a portal or gate kind of thing where they can go home, but for some of them the portal can get a bit confused cause some of the All Stars are supposed to be dead. Which could lead to like... All Stars going to the wrong universes?

[ Y'know, I really like that idea a lot!! I really want to have future threads that take place in an All-Star's homeworld. I was already thinking along the same lines of having the All-Stars be in different worlds. Imagine Kratos being in Parappa's world, or Spike in Metal Gear? It's really good writing material! ]

[ Gonna remind myself to start really elaborating on what exactly the All-Star Apartments look like, specifically what’s on the inside. I’m toying with the idea of there being someway for the All-Stars to go back to their retrospective worlds. ]

[ The problem with that is that I’ve already established that some characters... can’t go home. (Which is essentially bc some All-Stars are canonically dead!) BUT at the same time, The All-Stars have also returned home after beating Polygon Man in game! (granted, it could be argued that they did so with the help of his powers?) I dunno! I’ll have to keep thinking about this! ]

Hey-hey, good to see you, pal! …I guess it’s been a while since we’ve seen each other, huh? Yeah, you’ve missed a heck of a lot since you’ve been here. Don’t worry, I’ll walk you through it. C’mon.

A few months ago, our neighbors- you remember ‘em right? The Smashers? Yeah, they had another person join their roster. This wasn’t an ordinary Smash Reveal though. This was the very last Smash Reveal…

Back in October…

Smash Announcements had become an annoying routine for the All-Stars. Try living near a place that throws massive parties with blaring fanfare every few months. It’s anything but quiet. Despite dreading the events, the All-Stars had slowly adjusted to getting up early in order to avoid an abrupt awakening. Usually, Sweet Tooth and Evil Cole would camp out in front of the complex and spy on the Smashers. They had to find out who joined their rivals, after all! Today however, the news regarding this being the final Smash fighter had spread through the Apartments. ALL of the All-Stars were huddled around Sweet Tooth and Evil Cole’s little hideaway… much to the evil duo’s dismay.

“ Did they show who’s in yet? “ Spike asked, reaching for the binoculars.

“ DOES IT LOOK LIKE THEY SHOWED WHO’S IN YET? GET THE HELL OFF ME, KID!! “ Sweet Tooth snapped. He was thoroughly annoyed with Spike and everyone else’s presence.

“ Give the kid the binoculars. “ Raiden suddenly ordered. He pointed his long sword at the clown for extra emphasis. 

“ Now. “

“ AWW ARE YOU GONNA POKE ME WITH YOUR WIDDLE TOOTHPIC- “

“ just give ‘em the damn binoculars.” Evil Cole interrupted. “ i don’t need em anyways. “ The Conduit was on top of a nearby light-post; the perfect place to avoid being crowded by anyone.

Sweet Tooth squinted his one good eye at Raiden, then tossed the binoculars to Spike. The kid effortlessly caught them, then peaked inside. A few seconds passed… Then suddenly, Spike gasped.

“ Guys! I think I see someone! They’re shaking hands with Mario! “ The All-Stars immediately began to crowd around Spike. The monkey-catching kid could hardly maintain his balance with everyone surrounding him!

“ Woooah! Hey, take it easy! “

“ Who is it, Spike?! “ Parappa eagerly asked.

The other All-Stars’ anticipation was through the roof! Each All-Star that was there began to chime in with various cries of excitement.

Sackboy clapped his little felt hands together and made a drum-roll sound as everyone spoke.

“ Guys, this is really it. “

“ Eee! I’m on the edge of my seat! Tell us, TELL USSSS!! “

“ I hope it’s someone friendly! And cool too! “

“ (It’s Smash Bros! Whoever gets in will be super cool and much MORE, nya!) “

“ I do hope they aren’t an Evil Wizard... “

“ Nah, I don’t think they’d end the whole thing off on someone evil. This is too big of a deal. “

“ Uh, guys? Focus. Spike still needs to tell us who he sees! “

“ Yes, enough STALLING boy!! Reveal this wretched combatant! I have far more important duties that need attending! “

“ Go ahead and tell us when you’re ready, son. “

Spike peeked into the binoculars one last time. After a few moments, Spike recognized who it was. He gasped, then let a bewildered mumble escape his lips.

“ I-I can’t believe it… “

“ IS IT THAT DAMN BANDICOOT? “ Sweet Tooth scowled. “ I SWEAR IF THOSE SMASHERS STEAL ANOTHER ONE OF OUR- “

“ it’s sora. “ Evil Cole said. He leaped down from the lightpost he was standing on and crossed his arms. “ it is one of us. again. “

The All-Stars fell silent. Sora was one of their guys! He had been an unspoken PlayStation All-Star for years now! The kid was supposed to be a shoe-in if the All-Stars ever got their chance to have a sequel game! The silence was soon broken by the BOMBASTIC fanfare from the Smashers. It was much louder than their usual chants because this was a special occasion!

“ RRRRRAAAAAAGH!! “ Sweet Tooth abruptly shouted towards the sky. “ THAT DOES IT, THIS IS THE LAST TIME THOSE STUCK-UP SMASH BASTARDS TAKE FROM OUR SIDE! “ He stomped towards his Ice Cream Truck and pulled out his chainsaw. With one mighty yank, Sweet Tooth turned on his chainsaw.

“ IT’S TIME TO LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD!! “

“ And what the hell is that gonna do, huh? “ Emmett said, confronting the clown. “ You think gettin’ us banned from settin’ foot on their turf is gonna tip things in our favor? “

“ WELL I DON’T SEE ANYONE ELSE COMIN’ UP WITH ANY BRIGHT IDEAS, SUNSHINE!! “

Both men snarled at each other, but before any blows could be shared, Polygon Head ascended from the sky. He was clearly coming back from the Smash Announcement, because he had a polygonal party hat on his massive head!

“ Now, now, my All-Stars!! Why fight during such a monumental occasion? “

“ Why am I not surprised YOU have somethin’ to do with this, Chrome-Dome?! “ Daxter pouted.

“ I’m guessing you’ve heard the news. What’s in this for you? “ Jak asked.

“ Gentlemen please, must you continuously assume I have something to gain? “ Polygon said with a raised brow and a light chuckle. “ Such closemindedness… I expect better from you, All-Stars! “

“ Enough trickery, head. TALK. “ Kratos demanded.

“ Well, if you must know… I find this so-called rivalry between us all to be frivolous. All-Stars, Smash Brothers, why compete when we could COMBINE our forces to create much more interesting results? “

“ OHOHO, NO! “ Sweet Tooth objected. “ IF YOU THINK IM GONNA BE BUDDY-BUDDY WITH THEM, YOU’VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMING, HEAD! “

“ But my poor clown, you already have collaborated with ‘the enemy’ before! Heihachi and Dante both frequent the Smash Manor, and if I’m not mistaken, Big Daddy has collaborated with the Smash Brothers’ latest console! “

Sweet Tooth quickly whipped his head towards Big Daddy.

“ YOU GODDAMN SELLOUT!! “

Big Daddy responded with a deep sounding, “ HHNGH… “ and shrugged.

“ To summarize, “ Polygon Man began. “ We have been together for almost Ten Years now. The playing field is certainly not the same as it once was. Enemies have become unlikely allies. I suggest you all get used to collaborating with others more often, lest you become a relic of a close-minded era. I urge you all to celebrate with our neighboring friends! Introduce yourselves if you have not! We are ALL connected, my All-Stars. Our adventures, our stories, our highs and lows, they should not be confined to one system. “

“ With that my All-Stars, welcome to a new era. “ Polygon Man winked at everyone, then disappeared into a cloud of symbols as he typically does.

When Polygon Man disappeared, the All-Stars fell silent once more. For once, he had spoken to them with wisdom instead of his usual nonsensical cynicism.

“ As much as I hate to say it, Big Head’s right. “ Dante said, breaking the silence. He and Heihachi had arrived from the Smash Manor. The two were techinally in Smash to a certain degree; Mii Costumes and Stage Cameos were enough to get you entry to the Manor!

“ Look- We’re not gonna get anywhere stalking these guys. The Smashers ain’t half bad once you get t’ know ‘em. “

“ I didn’t see what the big deal was until I was invited there. Smash is not just some big tournament for fighters to show their techniques, it’s much more than that. “ Heihachi added. “ They are a family. Kindest bunch of fools you’ll ever meet. HAH! How else would they put up with that demon son of mine? “

“ We have been fighting a one-sided battle for far too long. “ Nariko added. “ If these Smash Brothers do not view us as a threat, why should we show malice to them? “

A few All-Stars began to nod and agree audibly, but Sweet Tooth wasn’t having ANY of it. He shot his shotgun into the air to interrupt everyone’s murmurs.

“ THAT’S GREAT. REAL GREAT. YOU LOSERS ARE GONNA GO PLAY PATTYCAKE AND HOPSCOTCH WITH THE SAME PEOPLE WHO KEEP STEALING FROM YOU! YOU’RE ALL DUMBER THAN I THOUGHT!! “

“ Hale and Marcus are our only new All-Stars, and should we even call them new? They’ve been with us since day one. What’s there to steal from an empty plate? “

“ Smash has always been a place open to anyone! Why can’t we make this place like that? “ Parappa asked.

Sweet Tooth was about to shout again, when Evil Cole stepped in front of him and Parappa. His hands were glowing red as he spoke.

“ do what you want. think im gonna stop you from bringing those losers here? just don’t expect me to play nice when you do. “ Evil Cole then began to walk away. Before he left though, he turned his head towards Sweet Tooth.

“ they’re gonna do what they want, y’know. i’m not gonna tell you how to live, but you don’t have to play by their rules. “ With that, Evil Cole leapt up the Apartment Complex, returning to his home on the roof of the building.

Y’know, what they say about a leopard never changing its spots? Yeah, I’m pretty sure Sweet Tooth is never gonna be happy with how things are now. After Evil Cole said what he did, the big guy roared one last time, then stomped off into his Ice Cream Truck. It took him a while to finally start talkin’ to us again after that day. He still hates the Smashers, but I don’t think they know he exists half the time.

We took what Polygon Man said and decided to give the Apartments a fresh coat of paint! We used to have dedicated visiting hours, but now the Apartments are open 24/7!  We’ve even invited the Smashers to certain events we’ve had here! Not many of ‘em have shown up, but hey- it’s a start!

To be honest with you, we’re all pretty nervous about what the future holds. The Smashers are definitely going to have another big tournament in the future, with plenty of new faces. But, us? Who knows if we’ll ever have a new tournament at this point. What we do know is that us All-Stars aren’t going anywhere any time soon.
