Fontaine De Lucine
May no spring, no fountain, ever run dry
May the torrent of life wash the valley grey
The mountain high, into the end time nigh
this took me way too long to decipher (like an hour) its like, trying to read cursive without knowing cursive letters

also, a little thing about Albedo and Alchemy that bothers me...
i saw alot of theories and such (even from his release) saying that he got the stages of Alchemy wrong,,, he states,
Nigredo is the first step, Albedo is the step of change, Rubedo refers to refinement, and Citrinitas is the final stage.
many people say hes wrong in the order of the steps/stages, and thats whatll cause him to lose control, but,,, like,,, hes not,,,,,,,,,
i know where they get it from. a quick google search takes you right to it, and thats the problem, aha, a quick search takes you to the stages of,, Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinitas, Rubedo. Rubedo being the final stage. the problem is, this isn’t the same Ancient Alchemy.
Albii’s derives from Ancient Egyptian Alchemy, the original creators of Alchemy itself. the one that people have been reading to make the claim hes wrong or backwards, is actually after the Graeco-Roman era of alchemy, in which the original meaning started getting misconstrued by greed of literally turning lead into gold to become rich or whatever,,
the theorizers’ main source was some English speaking dude’s interpretation of an already corrupted form of the original information. (HoYoVerse is based in China, why would they translate and read some other dudes interpretation// they just go to the actual source, cmon now...)
the misinfo one sounds reasonable, dont get me wrong, nigredo is portrayed as a death, soil, earthly, before life can begin again,,, albedo, purification, consciousness, the light of the moon,,, citrinitas, formation, an individual, solar light, ascendance,,, rubedo, a need for reincarnation, a burning fire, a death again. (this is basically the circle of life) and thats where people thought he was mixing it up, putting reincarnation and death, before ascendance and form itself,,,
but thats a completely different form of “alchemy,” one that has been mistranslated and also reinterpreted.
the Ancients aligned the colors with the process of a day, starting with night.
3 stages, with Rubedo being a process of refinement in between... like he states.
Nigredo, night, soil. Albedo, moonlight, chalk. Citrinitas, sunlight, gold.
Rubedo being the red sunrise, the process between the setting moon and the rising sun.
because as you wander in the dark, you begin to learn. you reflect that gained knowledge and things gradually become more clear. after refining the emotion that comes from the knowledge you gain... you shine your own light, no longer only reflecting whats around you, but producing it yourself.
the soil is the amalgam of the ingredients, you only need to sort them out. as you do, you gain a volume of the substance needed, as a chalk powder. after elemental reaction, transmutation, refinement... hopefully, eventually, you’ll have a stable result. an outcome such as the chemically-inert gold
anyways, i wanted to do a quick rundown because it’s bothered me for quite a while lolol

i know his jacket has the color scheme of the original ancient stages of Alchemy,,, Nigredo, Night, Black,,, Albedo, Moonlight reflected light, White,,, Citrinitas, producing one’s own light into Day, Gold... (Rubedo is the in between process of refinement, the red Sunrise, and thus isnt a stage,, his gloves being red is a Knights of Favonius thing, look at Amber’s for confirmation, or even Diluc’s,,)
but i cant help but wonder about the emblems on his back, and the pattern in his hood...
the blue and black scheme relates heavily to Khaenri’ah, where he’s from...
does he have a twin at creation? both chained to “Gold” in some way...?
Chalk pursues Gold...
AH! i wanna knowww!!! XD
