Since you guys asked for it, here's a couple of the Defenders of Arcadia models as uploaded by their 3D modeller, Gary Sookdeo! At the time of typing only Jim and Toby are up though given Toby popped out of nowhere it's far from impossible others might too.

Rob Buchanan who also worked on the game has uploaded a few animation tests using the game rigs too. Because of how the videos are embed on artstation have to link them directly so they are Porgon Minion, a Goblin and Corgi Luug. Enjoy!

This week's storyboard sequence is not from an episode but from Rise of the Titans! Specifically the flying to and breaking into the HK Trollmarket by Tom Sales because his expressions are always wonderful.

Look at this preview how can you not love it?

Today is the last of the unexpected artworks by Rustam Hasanov and is certainly the most mysterious in the form of this guy. Only one of the images has a file name where they are referred to as "Creature".

Now does the build remind you of anybody at all? They have Tronos colours which is fun of course but that's not all. Apart from being very scuttly in build which would make them a great climber, they share traits with a certain alien called Buster from 3Below...

It's more noticable when you have them side by side thanks to Alfonso Blaas who uploaded this paint over Fury Galluzzi's linework. She never had any Trollhunters artwork before that part of her website was shut down so sadly I we don't have that. Still, this was when he was part of the Trollhunters part of the franchise, more specifically as a "spider" in Merlin's Tomb. It certainly lines up!

Even has six legs on the final version which certainly seems suggested above just like our red boy!

You're probably wondering why the heck spider keeps being brought up as there was never any spider! Well there wasn't in the final version no, there was however a draft version where there was one. Buster survived the process long enough for artwork to be produced and refined before he sat on the back benches. Then he'd have his official debut in 3Below as more than just an obstacle.

Claire looked at the door that connected the patio to the city of Camelot. A thin boy with black hair was standing under the arch. She felt like she knew him from somewhere and nodded. He walked closer and sat by her side. She couldn’t take her eyes off him. He chuckled lightly.

“Yep… it’s me.”

It took her just one second to recognize the sheepish smile under those light blue eyes. Her voice failed.

“Jim?” she asked.

Tumblr has been fairly ratty today so lets see if it functions long enough for this to be posted or at least doesn't crash on me a second time. Either or.

The next piece of artwork Rustam Hasanov snuck onto his artstation account features Toby's armour! The image below was not online in any form previously and in a sense, not in the artbook either. By comparing them it looks like this version is the final refined version of this knight vibe they were going for which is neat. That profile shot is not there in any form.

The vespa version is mostly in the artbook, if missing many of the callouts and Toby's profile. There is also a cropped version of it on Rustam's instagram so it's nice to finally see the full thing in large chunky glory and great for reference! While many things had to be toned down likely for budget/clipping issues on the rig they really took Jim's vespa to heart... And armour.

Because of the schedule on twitter the final artstation surprise will be posted next Tuesday and is completely brand new. Funnily enough the same day this was discovered Toby's Defenders of Arcadia model was as well so do let me know if you'd be interested in seeing it!

This week's storyboards are by David Woo (@ dwooman here on tumblr) from the Trollhunters episode In Good Hands. More specifically, it's the sequence involving the attempt to capture Nomura and she was not having it.

In a fun tidbit, this was one of those fights that had chunks cut from the UK TV release... Specifically around her holding the blade tip to Ursuna and her own neck.

Even though Claire wearing Morgana's colors would have been so wrong, maybe they were toying with the idea of having a silver armor/golden armor couple for Jlaire and that's why Toby's armor is copper.

Usually whenever any new artwork from Trollhunters specifically turns up, it's someone's blog or a non-english website. To date that's been a Chinese fan wiki, a Mexican blog, an Italian Disney site and a Brazillian website. These you can't really look for deliberately, you trip over them hopefully before any decay or removal sets in. The other sort which is more common for the entire franchise is artwork will sneak onto existing portfolios which has happened a lot in regards to one particular artist. Those tend to be weekly checks as it happens so frequently you want to grab them before they vanish back into the void.

This next to never happens on artstation particularly post their decisions regarding AI and tearing down any pro Ukraine artwork. Rustam Hasanov however at some unknown point did it anyway and this is just one of the surprises that came with it.

What makes this even more interesting is that this is not the first evidence of Claire having Morgana like colours for her armour. Yingjue Linda Chen posted these which suggests the idea stuck around before settling on her now signature purple.

THIS! I had to check a book one last time before sending it to the register. This is the first book I wrote after leaving my house and I struggled a lot while writing it, even though it's a new version of something I wrote a few years ago, only this time with better characters and better worldbuilding.

Anyway, that book was engraved in my mind as something subpar, not good enough to my standards (or the standards I've created for my books). Also, it has a bittersweet ending, which is a first for me.

I reread it one last time to make sure there were no spelling mistakes and... I ended up liking it way more. Yeah, it had its problems, yeah, it's not as long as I'd liked it to be.

We are our worst critics. And if you want to be any type of creator, the only way to go is forward. Some days you'll create that thing that makes you go: "Yeah, I've improved so much, this is awesome!" and some days you'd be like: "Huh... this is not good at all". What matters is you've done something. And something is always better than nothing when it comes to creating.

This hit home, and I think it will resonate hard with all my creative friends, here. You are amazing and brilliant and I BEG YOU to keep creating!! ❤️❤️❤️

Auti is a lot of things. Extremely creative, sensitive, perfectionist, stubborn and a hopeless romantic. Oh, and she’s blue and has a butterfly called Ista as her conscience. Maybe that explains everything.

I'm so happy to finally show you this project! As you may know, last year I discovered I was autistic, so I dedicated a lot of time to research and everything started making sense. I noticed all the little "quirks" that can be explained with this condition and decided to write them down. After a therapy session, I toyed with the idea of making a little comic strip about an alien that comes to Earth and has to learn how to act human. But since that idea has been done too many times, I made it with a more "slice of life" approach.

Auti is based on me physically, in my current life as a wannabe writer and in my struggles with, well, everything in life. I've just published the whole book of the comic strips on KDP (in Spanish), and I'll be posting a strip a week on Tapas and here on Tumblr.
