Since my father's passing, I've found myself navigating through a fog that seems to blanket every thought and action. The loss has not only left a void in my heart but has also manifested physically, in the form of brain fog and a debilitating exhaustion that clings to me, stubborn and unyielding. This isn't just tiredness that a good night's sleep can cure; it's a profound fatigue that burrows deep into your bones, making even the simplest tasks feel like monumental undertakings.
Attempting to plan a productive weekend amidst this haze feels akin to trying to see clearly underwater. The grief has been a shadow, a constant companion that dulls my senses and scrambles my thoughts. The brain fog makes it hard to focus, to remember what I was just about to do or why I walked into a room. And the exhaustion... it's like being wrapped in heavy chains, each movement slow and laborious, each step requiring a Herculean effort. Yet, despite these challenges, or perhaps because of them, I've recognized the need for structure and accomplishment. It's in the doing, the being productive, that I find moments of clarity and sparks of energy, brief respites from the fog.
The Plan for a Productive Weekend Amidst Fog and Fatigue
Understanding my struggles with brain fog and exhaustion, I've outlined a weekend plan that's not just about ticking off tasks but also about nurturing my well-being and gently pushing through the haze. Here’s a revised approach to the weekend:
Friday Evening (6:30 PM - 10:30 PM)
Task 1: Kitchen and Bathroom Cleanup
Tackling these areas first offers immediate satisfaction and a clearer space, which, in turn, slightly lifts the fog.
Saturday (Two Work Blocks: 12 PM - 4 PM & 6 PM - 10 PM)
Morning Self-Care: A Pilates/Barre session to gently coax my body into movement, using exercise as a tool to combat fatigue.
Morning Work Block:
Task 2: Bedroom and Den Cleaning: Creating a serene and ordered sleeping space is crucial when rest is elusive.
Task 3: Storage Organization: A symbolic clearing of clutter, both physical and mental.
Sunday (Two Work Blocks: 12 PM - 4 PM & 6 PM - 10 PM)
Morning Self-Care: Another session of Pilates/Barre to foster a routine and inject energy into the day.
Morning Work Block:
Task 6: Plant Care and Laundry: Nurturing life in my plants and ensuring a fresh start with clean clothes.
Evening Work Block:
Task 8: Copywriting Course and Job Applications: Focusing on personal growth and future possibilities, a beacon through the fog.
Throughout the Weekend
Grocery Run and Budget Planning: Tasks that demand focus, aiding in cutting through the brain fog with the necessity of attention to detail.
Closing Thoughts
In planning this weekend, the aim is not just to navigate through the fog and fatigue but to find moments of clarity and accomplishment amidst the grief. It’s a step towards healing, a testament to the strength that lies in facing the day, no matter how heavy the fog or how deep the fatigue. It's about honoring my father by continuing to move forward, one task at a time, one breath at a time.
Until next time…

Rising Above: My Journey Forward
Tumblr media
As I reflect on life's challenges, I feel a spark of determination within me—a resolve to move forward despite the obstacles. Living with schizoaffective disorder and the loss of my parents has left a void, but I refuse to let grief and mental illness define me.
Returning to college is a dream, yet anxiety, depression, and financial hurdles stand in my way. The weight of schizoaffective disorder adds to the complexity of my journey.
But I won't be held back. I embrace healing as a messy journey, leaning on loved ones, professionals, and my own resilience. Each step forward brings me closer to the life I envision.
To those facing similar struggles: you're not alone. You're capable of more than you know. Together, let's rise above, embrace our potential, and live our lives to the fullest.
Until next time,

my ideal morning routine
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
making this for accountability bc i really 1) don't like waking up to do schoolwork and 2) should stop using my phone first thing in the morning, even just to check notifications bc i always get sucked into social media and it's such a time waster.
Either turn off my alarm (that would be the only time I use my phone) or wake up when I wake up (do try to use the alarm to gradually wake up earlier tho...)
Stretch bc I'm a stiff old woman
Drink water
Journal in good lighting (either open the blinds or leave the room) bc I really need to order my thoughts and consciously set a more positive and encouraging frame of mind at the start of the day
Exercise if I feel like it 💪
Comb hair + 🪥
Eat breakfast 😋
Take my vitamins and probiotic
AND THEN DON'T USE MY PHONE THROUGHOUT THE DAY EXCEPT FOR COMMUNICATION* DAMMIT 😤😤😤
*that includes the tumblr update
and if i'm really busy (like this week 😵‍💫), i will leave my phone in my room, away from my desk. if you see me on here during the day, then you know i've failed 😅

Hi there!
Put what you would like to read about in the comments.
I've been fixing up things. Getting my head screwed on straight. Living better. Almost two years after my mother's death a few things happened:
I worked a lot.
I gained weight.
I cleaned out my live/work space.
I started playing guitar.
I started learning Python.
I started timing the speed and intensity of my daily walks.
I didn't write much because I've been thinking about what I offer my audience as a studyblr. Let's start with 100 Days of Python and see where it goes.
Tumblr media
Day One or One Day... I decide.
Day Seven!
