And It All Comes Crashing Down
Because me and my family are backwards we are much better at the game jenga tipsy/drunk than we are sober. I should not be surprised I managed to make that into a fic. Anyways, written for the Juvana week prompt âalcoholâ (I still have like an hour of day 1 left Iâm not late shhh) and it has a dash of Gajevy at the end because I am trash.
Juvia held her breath, her eyes narrowed in concentration as she tried to glare the wobbling tower of blocks into submission. The blocks stopped wiggling (at least, she thought they did) and Juvia carefully lowered her jenga block onto the tower.
âNo fucking way,â Cana breathed.
Juvia smirked at Cana and held up her wine glass as though in a toast. âTold ya.â
Cana scowled at her. âNo. No way you did that drunk.â Cana narrowed her eyes. âYou cheated.â
Juvia sputtered. âJuvia did not! And sheâs only tipsy.â She paused, her mouth half open, and blinked. âHow could she even cheat at jenga?â
Cana shrugged. âHell if I know. But thereâs no fuckinâ way you managed to grab another side block!â Cana narrowed her eyes at the impossible stack of center blocks precariously stacked on top of one another towards the middle of the tower. âI bet you glued these together.â
Juvia laughed and took another sip of wine (which wasnât really helping with her wobbly vision but that was okay). Juvia carefully rearranged her legs under the low coffee table, careful not to bang anything that would upset their longest lasting jenga game. She sigh in relief as feeling returned to her legs and Juvia turned back to Cana to refute the accusation but the words died in her throat when she saw Cana glaring at her.
She coughed. âWhat?â
Cana huffed. âNow wonder Iâm losing you keep distracting me.â
Juvia blinked. âJuviaâŚdistracting you? SheâŚâ Juvia trailed off, blinking again. âThat doesnât even make sense! Juvia canât be beating you, she only wins when you mess up and knock down the tower!â
Cana snorted and swallowed some wine. âBullshit,â she muttered as she carefully set down her glass. She turned to Juvia, a smirk gracing her lips and her eyes hooded.
Juviaâs throat went dry.

#7 for juvana (in any of your fics or not, whatever comes to ya.) Please and thank you!
Quick note: technically written for Finding Adventure universe but it can work in pretty much any context.
It was completely irrational to be feeling this way. Totally ridiculous. Cana will be getting back soon and she was only gone for a few days anyways so really, Juvia had no business missing her this much but when would she get to see her again?
Juvia drummed her fingers on her table, lips pressed together as she watched her clock and willed the minute hand to move faster.
âStop it,â she muttered to herself, clenching her fists to stop her mindless drumming. âIt hasnât been that long. Juvia shouldnât miss Cana this much.â Juvia took a deep breath, forcing her focus away from her clock. âJuvia will see her soon enough, stop it.â
Juvia blew her breath out in agitation, barely registering the way she was biting her lip. It was absolutely ridiculous to miss Cana this much just after a few days. No matter how much Juvia liked waking up to Canaâs crooked smiles, or how she liked to steal Canaâs t-shirts for the smoky but fruity scent, or how she loved Canaâs hugsâŚespecially how they made her feel safe and warmâŚ
Juvia blinked when she realized she got distracted daydreaming, groaning as she slumped forward and her eyes darted back to her clock. When Cana gets here, Juviaâs tackling her to the couch and not letting go for an hour. Juvia pursed her lips, a grin tugging at her lips as she pictured the scene.
Juvia nodded. Juvia hopes Cana wouldnât mind that happening.

Odd Customs
Voeda is Silvâs wonderful brainchild, not mine. You can find more for this series here or on ffn or AO3.
Juvia tugged on Canaâs sleeve and Cana looked over, her teriyaki beef stick still halfway if her mouth. âWha?â
Juvia was nibbling on some raw shrimp and eyeing Levy, who was cleaning tables on the other side of the room. Juvia swallowed and nodded towards the petite blunette. âWhy does she have a toy in her pocket?â
Cana pursued her lips and leaned around Juvia to get a better look at Levy. The bright plastic nerf gun sticking out of Levyâs apron pocket caught her eye and she grinned. âYou mean the nerf gun?â
Juvia popped the rest of the shrimp in her mouth and turned to Cana. âYeah,â she said with a nod, grabbing another shrimp. âJuvia thought it was just some weird human custom but you never carry stuff like that around when youâre at work.â
Cana shrugged. âI donât get chickens.â

Lace
You can find more for this series here or on ffn or AO3.
You would think that after being alive for a couple of centuries, Juvia would understand humans.
But she didnât. Despite her considerable experience, despite all her years of observing humans, they were still the most baffling creatures in the world. Juvia could rant for days about all their odd little traditions and cultures and superstitions and who knows what else (donât even mention their dreadful persistence in cooking everything they touch, itâs awful). And one of their many baffling aspects was their insistence on clothes.
Juvia would never understand their desire for scritchy cloth to cover themselves, especially in the muggy air that never left the island. Clothes always stick and cling to uncomfortable crevices of the body, or just gathered heat and sweat as people went about their day. Why anyone would willingly subject themselves to that torture never failed to baffle Juvia.
But, when Juvia saw Cana in lace for the first time, she thought she understood.
Now, why Cana was wearing lace in the first place was beyond her (out of all the fabric types she could have chosen, Cana went with the one that snagged and scratched the skin until it was red and raw). But, with the way the delicate, dark blue lines spread across Canaâs smooth skin, making her bronze skin glow, Juvia thought that maybe it was time to reevaluate the whole clothing nonsense.
Mind you, Juvia would always prefer Cana naked but, maybe humans werenât totally the silly idiots she thought they were. Then Juvia saw Cana in red lace and she realized she was wrong about everything.
Humans were the most brilliant creatures in the universe.

Human Food
A huge shoutout and thank you to Silv for letting me borrow her wonderful OC, Voeda, for this series. Also, you can find more for this series here or on ffn and AO3.
âPlease?â
âNo.â
âJuviaaaâŚâ
âNo.â
Cana pouted. âFine. Call human food disgusting and never give me a chance to redeem it.â
Juvia rolled her eyes. âIt is disgusting.â Juviaâs tail slapped against the water, seemingly agitated. âWhy you would ever butcher fish like that baffles Juvia.â
Cana waved her loaded fork around. The chunk of pie on it wobbled dangerously. âBut this isnât fish and youâve never had Voedaâs lilikoi pie before. Itâs amazing.â
Juvia snorted and leaned back. âSure it is.â
Cana stuffed the pie in her mouth with a pointed look, moaning in bliss as the sweet pie melted in her mouth.
Juvia huffed. âOh shush, itâs not that great.â
Cana raised her eyebrows and stabbed a small bite-sized piece. She held it out and smirked. âYou canât say that until you try it.â Her grin grew and she wriggled her eyebrows at Juvia. âI dare you too. You canât back down now.â

Starlit Eyes
Title: Starlit Eyes
Summary: Thereâs nothing prettier than the way her eyes sparkle with starlight and the way her cheeks flush from laughter.
AN: Shoutout to Silv and Shelby for letting me ramble about this thing over and over to them. Iâm kinda publishing this for the Juvana week thing thatâs happening but itâs a chapter for Curveballs (find more on that here). Itâs a one-shot series anyways so this can stand alone, just know that itâs a college au.Â
âHey Juvia, you free right now?â
Juvia looks up to see Cana leaning over her headboard. She makes sure to mark her page in her history book before sitting up and facing Cana. âIt depends. Why?â
Cana grins and holds up Juviaâs workout shoes. âYou up for a hike?â
Juvia looks at her clock and raises her eyebrow. âItâs nearly midnight Cana.â
Cana cocks her head to the side. âSo? Itâs a gorgeous night out right now and your class doesnât start until after ten tomorrow.â
Juvia frowns at Cana. âJuvia thought you had an eight am.â
Cana shrugs. âYup. Donât care though.â
âCana,â Juvia scolds, crossing her arms over her chest. âYou know youâre going to regret this tomorrow. And then youâll whine at Juvia all day. And be clingy.â
Cana runs a hand through her hair and laughs. âI canât help it, I like cuddling when Iâm tired.â
Juvia huffs. She looks down at the heavy textbook in her lap and grimaces. âJuvia canât have that right now. The history finalâs gonna be hard and Juvia has to write a paper thatâs due in two days and-â
Cana holds up her hands in surrender. âOkay, okay, Iâll bug Gajeel for cuddle time instead.â Cana shakes Juviaâs sneakers and gently tugs Juviaâs textbook out of her hands. âBut please? Thereâs something I want to show you. And you need a break Blue, youâre going to go crazy if you donât.â
Juvia narrows her eyes at Cana but, she canât protest. She has been thinking of taking a break the last couple of minutes anyways. âOh alright, Juviaâs coming.â She pulls her shoes away from Cana and starts tugging them on. âWhatâs this all important, canât-wait-until-the-morning thing you want to show Juvia.â
Cana laughs and gently tugs a strand of Juviaâs hair. âThatâs a secret Blue. Itâll be worth it though, I promise.â

The Vamp AU Teaser
Hey xforeverdreamer12x, here it is. Also, I lied, I just remembered why I havenât finished the prologue so only a teaser for now. Anyways, hereâs a sneak peek at the Stingue Vampire AU Iâve been bouncing around for a while. (Ignore the awkward cut off point, haha.) All inspired by this, which is probably the best vampire post Iâve ever seen. XD
When Rogue had whined to Gajeel about wishing his life was more exciting this morning, he most certainly was not implying he wanted this.
Then again, life did like to screw with him.
It had been quick. Rogue was walking down the alleyway to get to the bus stop when he was suddenly yanked into a shadowed alcove. No matter how he had struggled, the iron bands that held him captive didnât give an inch. Rogue froze when something sank into his neck, fire racing from the pinch rapidly. However, almost as quickly as it had happened, the fire retreated and the sensation of ice water trickled through his limbs. Rogue shuddered as his fingers and toes started to tingle from the odd numbing feeling.
Rogue jerked again and threw his elbow backwards. But, it only met air and Rogue was left spinning from leftover momentum. While this wouldnât normally be a problem, he was feeling a little woozy from the attack and Rogue soon tripped over his own feet, causing him to tumble to the ground in an ungraceful heap.
âDude, what the fuck?â
Rogue blinked and tried to focus as the buildings surrounding him slowly stopped spinning. He shook his head gently and was finally able to focus on the guy-and probable assaulter-standing in front of him.

Apple Cider Kisses
This is officially the most pointless piece of fluff I have ever written but Iâm kinda in love it anyways, haha. A huge thank you to Silv for letting me bug you with the unedited version however many weeks ago.
A small breeze rustled the bright tree leaves and Erza shuddered as it brushed against her. She rubbed her arms to get rid of the goosebumps, glad she had at least thought to wear pants that day. Another breeze swept by, this time blowing a several bright red leaves at her and Erza cursed as they tangled with her hair. She tried to comb her fingers through her long red locks, scowling as the wind just trapped them too.
Someone laughed to her right. âFall agrees with you. Even the trees try to match your hair.â
Erza looked over her shoulder and scowled at the approaching figure. âHah, hah,â she deadpanned, rolling her eyes. âIâd like to see you deal with long hair. Iâd have a riot.â She jerked her fingers, yelping when her hair yanked at her scalp. âDamn wind,â she muttered. Her companion chuckled and Erza scowled at him. âI hate you.â
Simon grinned unrepentantly. He held up a steaming cup, holding it so that the delicious smells blew her way. âI brought cider.â

Afternoon Jaunt (Fanfic Sneak Peek)
Hey hey boogey56, looky looky. Sneak peek at the Chendy fic that Iâm a little too invested in, hehe.Â
Chelia ducked under a ledge, clamping her hands over her mouth in an attempt to stifle her giggles. Furious footsteps pounded through the courtyard behind her and Chelia curled up tighter.
âMistress Chelia? Mistress Chelia! Oh, do come out, Master Jura will be furious if youâre not at your lesson on time.â
Chelia snorted and immediately hid her face in her knees, hoping Brother Lyon didnât hear that. She didnât uncurl until Brother Lyonâs footsteps sounded farther away but, she was still hesitant to move. Chelia looked longingly at the bushes dotting the courtyard corners and the tall fountain bubbling in the center, mentally smacking herself. Her current position was horrible for hiding from overbearing superiors.
âPsst.â
Chelia jumped, looking frantically to her left and right. She frowned at the bare walls and peered at the bushes, wondering if someone else was hiding around here. WhoâŚ
âPsst, Chelia! Up here!â
Chelia jumped and looked over her shoulder. She craned her neck awkwardly and squinted against the noonday sun. Something moved out of the corner of her eye and Chelia snapped her head around to see that Wendy had somehow squished herself into the sculpted archway. Chelia gaped at her and the way her toes were jammed into cracks and her fingers barely clinging to the windowâs ridges, the girl looking like she was about to fall any second now.
âWhat are you doing Wendy, youâre going to fall!â
Cheliaâs shout echoed faintly down the open corridor behind her and she gasped, clamping her hands back over her mouth and throwing herself below the ledge again.
Wendy laughed from above her. A small thump came from above her head before two dirty feet landed in front of her. Chelia looked up to Wendy grinning, her eyes bright, and Wendy held her hand out. âNo worries, Lyonâs gone and everyone respectable isnât out right now.â
Chelia rolled her eyes and grabbed Wendyâs hand. âThanks,â she muttered after Wendy helped her up, smacking the backs of her legs to hopefully get most of the dirt off her skirt. The red, clay-like soil clung stubbornly to the white cloth and Chelia sighed. âNow Master Juraâs gonna know Iâve been up to no good.â
Wendy laughed helped clean her back. âNah, Lyonâs gonna go tattle much sooner than Mr. Jura will check your laundry.â Wendy grinned at Cheliaâs pout and linked their arms together. âSo, Mistress Chelia, what trouble do you want to get into today?â

Pick Me Up

âYou what?â
Juvia blinked at Cana, her eyebrows slowly rising towards her hairline. âWhatâs a pick up line?â she asked, her tail playfully flicking water at Cana.
Cana ignored it, shifting slightly. She ignored the way the warm rock dug into her thighs and just stared at Juvia, her mouth hanging open. Juvia had to snap her fingers in front of Canaâs nose a couple of times before Cana could stop gaping. Cana held her hands up, trying to get her mind in gear. âYouâre telling me that in all of the four hundred years youâve been alive, youâve never had someone tell you a pick up line?â

Gone Forever
You can find more for this series here or on ffn or AO3.
Maybe it was just a result of living on an island where the water sparkled a thousand shades of blue with gentle waves and warm surf but, Cana had always thought of the ocean as motherly. She knew just as much as anyone that it could be deadly and dangerous, swallowing everything from people to islands but, first and foremost, the ocean was Canaâs cradle. A place where Cana could escape her troubles.
Even after meeting one of the oceanâs deadliest predators (not that she could ever think of Juvia as a threat to her), Cana couldnât really think of the sea as dangerous or cruel. After all, it had only ever given her happiness.
Then, she found Juvia digging harpoon tips out of her tail in a pool of bloody water.

Juvia lurked under the wooden planks, carefully tracking her prey by the small shadow flickers. Ten boards until grabbing distance.
Boisterous laughter trickled through the slats and Juvia licked the salt off her lips. Six boards.
Juvia slinked forward, carefully shadowing the shadow. Two boards. Juvia ducked down into the water and slid out from under the pier. Brown curls peeked over the wooden edge and a predatory grin stretched along her lips. AlmostâŚ
There.
Juvia jumped, her tail propelling her out of the waves with ease. She slammed into the warm body, the crash throwing the two over the boardwalk and into the ocean. Her prey gasped, the ocean filling their lungs. Juvia flipped her human over, laughing at Canaâs wide eyes.
âTag. Youâre it.â

Fic Title: Curveballs [ffn] [AO3]
Chapter 9: Knight in Shining Armor [ffn] [AO3]
Women are tricky and Gajeel is rightfully terrified of all of them.
Genre: Humor/Friendship
Note: This was previously just a tumblr series titled âThe College AU.â Overall series is a oneshot series, mainly focused on Levy, Gajeel, Lucy, and Natsu (plus lots and lots of brotps and the occasional unpopular pairing). The series has absolutely nothing to do with baseball, despite what the title suggests otherwise.

Title: Inexplicable
Summary: Juvia and Cana werenât entirely sure what they had, they just knew it transcended any words they could use to describe it.

Chap 1
Forelsket (Norwegian): The euphoria you experience when youâre first falling in love.
Cana eyed Juvia over the rim of her mug, her lips pulling into a small smile as her eyes followed the bubbly blunette. Juviaâs cheeks were split into a huge grin as she enjoyed the post parade partying, the bright lights painting her in a myriad colors. Juvia spun around with Lucy, laughing, and caught Canaâs eye during one of her rotations. Juvia pulled one hand away to wave at Cana during the next twirl and Cana waved back, her heart thumping oddly.
Juvia had one hell of a way of making her feel special.
She took another sip of beer and mulled over the past couple of days. Flashes of purple reminded her of Freedâs runes and Cana knew the bubbling warmth in her stomach wasnât just her beer and the atmosphere.
Juvia was the only mage who sacrificed herself over her guildmate.
And she did that for Cana.

Chap 1Â Chap 2
Mamihlapinatapai (Yaghan): The wordless yet meaningful look shared by two people who desire to initiate something but, both are reluctant to start.
Juvia grinned as yet another guildmate congratulated her on getting nominated for the S-Class trials. She still wasnât sure she was a proper candidate for it but Master refused to listen to her so Juvia just let herself get swept up in the excitement. She herself had already congratulated all the other candidates but one and Juvia pursued her lips as she looked for Cana. Cana wasnât at any of her usual haunts and Juvia was getting a little worried. She had seen what happened to women if they drank too much and they werenât careful. Cana was usually much more careful than that but Juvia still hasnât seen her yet and her imagination was on the brink of spiraling out of control, making her stomach twist into knots.
Gajeel walked by and Juvia impulsively jumped on his back. She ignored his mutterings of âDamn crazy womanâ and âLook, Iâm happy for you but can I get my personal space back?â in favor of using her new height vantage to look over the crowd. She spotted Cana standing in a dark corner gripping a beer bottle and Juvia sighed in relief at seeing her safe. Juvia almost called out to Cana but then Cana glared at her and the words died in her throat.

Koi No Yokan
Title: Inexplicable
Summary: Juvia and Cana werenât entirely sure what they had, they just knew it transcended any words they could use to describe it.
Note: Little six chaptered Juvana fic Iâm playing around with. About as canon compliant as I get. Iâll link the inspiration/page for this ficlet in the next chapter. Can also read on ffn or AO3.
Koi No Yokan (Japanese): The sense upon first meeting a person that the two of you are going to fall in love.
The rain pounded on her umbrella like usual, the roar of it drowning out any other sounds. Juvia shifted a little to the right to avoid a growing puddle, twisting her head back and forth in hopes that Totomaru would show up under one of the street lamps. She shouldnât have let him go off on whatever super important errand he had to go do after their mission was finished and Juvia really wished she hadnât promised Totomaru that she would stay in that exact spot. The store fronts flickered across the street and Juvia wished she and Totomaru had agreed to meet up in one of them instead of outside.
It was bad enough she always had to deal with the rain. Being forced to wait out in it just seemed like a special dose of torture.
A shadow flickered in the corner of her eye and Juvia turned, figuring it was just some poor passerby trying to escape her rain like usual. The figure kept moving out her vision though and Juvia twisted with a huff (Master Porlaâs constant warnings of people seeking revenge were starting to get to her). Juvia tensed for a fight, only to nearly drop her umbrella when she saw the person.
