First DMV Tamagotchi Club Meet Up Scheduled for May!

The DMV Tamagotchi Club has been established by Katie, and the first meet up is scheduled for May! If you’re a Tamagotchi fan in the DC, Maryland, or Virginia area, be sure to check them out both on Instagram and Facebook.

The first meet up has been scheduled for Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at 12:00PM! Loaded at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden (Constitution Avenue NW & 7th Street NW, Washington DC, 20408, United States).

Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano & Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters Availability & Pricing

Since the announcement of both the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano & Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters we’ve gotten a lot of questions around both availability and pricing. We reached out to Bandai to get some of these answers.

Retail Availability - Both the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano and Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters will be available on Amazon for preorder today, or latest by Monday. Please understand a lot of this is related to Amazon, not Bandai.

Region Availability - Both the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano and Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters are confirmed for North America and Japan. What about Europe? Our US contact believes it will be, however they are checking with their colleagues. We will provide further information as we receive it.

Pricing - The Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano will be priced at $19.99 USD, and the Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters will be priced at $69.99 USD.

Packaging - Japan will get their smaller packaging, countries outside of Japan will have the larger packaging that you’ve come to know and (hopefully) love.

Bandai Namco US Announces Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters is Coming Soon!

In the announcement of the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Bandai Namco US informed followers that preorders for the Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Character will be available for preorder soon. We’d assume preorders will be on Amazon, and wouldn’t be surprised if this product is exclusive to Amazon. More information to follow, and we’ll keep you updated! Can you believe North America is getting their first color Tamagotchi Sanrio collaboration? LOVE!

Bandai Namco US Announces Hello Kitty Tamagotchi

She is not limited to Japan! Bandai Namco US has announced on their official Instagram profile that the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi is now available for preorder! That’s right both shells are available for preorder on Amazon with a release date of July 9th, 2024. This is actually earlier than the release date in Japan on August 3rd 2024!

Premium Bandai Japan Announces White Chara Timer Tamagotchi

Looks like the first Chara Timer Tamagotchi was a hit (we're so excited that Premium Bandai America has them on preorder)! Premium Bandai Japan has just announced another shell color to choose from, white! Same awesome timer, new shell color to choose from.

The white shell will be available starting on February 1st, 2024 at 10:00AM on the Premium Bandai Japan website!

Bandai Gashapon Announces Tamagotchi Swing Case

We love to see more Gashapon! Bandai Gashapon is showing some more Tamagotchi love with the upcoming Tamagotchi Swing Case. Bandai has just revealed this on their upcoming lineup on the official Bandai Gashapon Japan website.

The Tamagotchi Swing Cases are approximately 6cm in height, and they have a hinge on the right hand side that allows them to open. This allows you to store little trinkets inside.

Available in 5 different styles featuring Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, Mimitchi, Chestnut Angel, and Maskutchi popping out of a Tamagotchi Original and Tamagotchi Angel shell. Really cute design that helps us see the Tamagotchi character leaving the Tamagotchi!

Tamagotchi Swing Cases will be available nationwide at Gashapon locations in Japan. They are priced at ¥300 including tax. You should start to see them the third week of February, 2024 which is budgeted for February 11th, 2024 through February 17th, 2024.

Tamagotchi Display at Bandai HQ Toy Museum

Did you know that Bandai HQ currently has a toy museum for all to visit? That’s right, on the second floor of the Bandai HQ in Taitō, Tokyo you can visit the toy museum which features toys from the pas and present that were created by Bandai. Of course Tamagotchi is on display.

In a glass display you will see the Tamagotchi models throughout the years dating back to 1996 with the Tamagotchi Original and up to 2021 with the Tamagotchi Smart. You’ll also see two Tamagotchi Original P1 and P2 on display in original, and now faded packing.

You can easily visit all exhibits in the museum in 15-20 minutes, and entry is free and open on weekdays from 11AM to 5PM (last entry 4:30PM).
