If she could phase herself through these windows she would, palms pressed against the glass with the hopes her body would materialize on the other end. That was ten minutes ago and regrettably she’s still in the exact same spot, envious eyes on every lucky ticket holder walking through the doors without security plucking them from the line like yesterday’s trash. After multiple attempts to sneak in (and cycling through the stages of grief at least twice) they’ve designated a corner for her to stand in away from all the established guests. She rocks her forehead a few times against the pane, the few curious glances thrown her way going unnoticed as she slowly accepts defeat. “   Ryu, you dumb stupid dummy. Why didn’t you buy it in advance?   ” She grumbles to herself, a tired sigh punctuating the thought. 

She points to the security keeping a wary eye on her as she passes by, “   You won today, but just know if I could get my hands on a ticket you’d be sorry!    ” Wounded, she turns around to scrape together the last of her pride and jet on out. But a voice behind her has her skidding to a stop, bright eyes impossibly wide as she stares at this savior of a stranger. “   What? Are you kidding?   ” She clasps her hands together, “  Oh my god, I would love to come with you! I - I have .. uh ..  ” All she’s got on hand is a few croissants and a couple dollars. It's hard to miss the bright red, the way it makes perfect circles over the concrete with every step they've taken. It's created a small path up to the figure walking by, and her eyes are drawn up to the apex. " Woah, are you okay? " She questions. If they've heard her, they make no acknowledgement to her. Maybe her voice hadn't traveled far enough. Her palm curves over her lips, mouth opening to call just a bit louder, but they're already turning the corner. She weighs her options: leave this supposedly bleeding stranger alone, or chase after them. Might've been a safer option to go with the former. But her legs are carrying her before she can second guess her instinct. Behind them she makes wider strides, " Hey! " She calls again, quick steps turning into a brief jog to catch up to their side. Time was dragging at an abysmal rate at this venue full of strangers; really she’d invited Vivian because of the promise of free food. But the plates were hardly anything to write home about, leaving very little reason to stick around longer. Damnit she'd hate to be the one to blurt out that this place sucked after being the one to suggest it. But her patience for it was dwindling quickly, evident by the way she taps her toes against the ground. Seems Vivian shared similar sentiment, her voice an echo to Ryu’s thoughts. Bright eyes turn back to the other in surprise before it melts into relief, “   Oh, thank god you were thinking the same thing!   ” She nods quickly grabbing her arm to tug in the direction of the exit. It was still early on in the afternoon, plenty of time to come up with a better plan! “   Did you have somewhere in mind?   ” Food, shopping, explore the city; maybe all of the above? “   If not, I’m sure we can figure something out .. one miss doesn’t mean the day has to end already!   ”

TRIP :  for both muses to road trip or travel together. / from soryn!

Half her body is pressed over the hood of the car, chin propped in one palm while she looks around the gas station. At nearly 11 in the night, there aren’t many others about save for someone making a quick beer run and the convenience store clerk ringing up Soryn. She glances at her watch with a soft sigh; still a ways to go before they’d make it to the mountain side – hopefully before morning light so they could catch sunrise. If all went well through the night, the pair was set to arrive around 6AM. Just shy of dawn; meaning any more detours (like this quick snack run) could set them back some. Peeling herself from the metal, Ryu reaches in through the open car window to retrieve their map. Curious, she sets it out in front of her, trailing her finger over the road they’d been traveling. With Soryn’s approaching footsteps she looks up to smile, “   Oh good, you’re back, look at this,   ” She taps over the paper, running her pointer off the path to draw attention to the back roads.

“    What if we go off the main road as a short cut? That way we can try and get their a little earlier and I won’t be distracted by every convenience store every time I want a little snack.  “
