Hello all its been a minute,
So I'm nearing the end of my journey as a paramedic student going into qualification as a newly qualified paramedic (NQP). I have just handed in my final body of work. I have been working as ambulance support staff to assist with covid and i would just like to say even with things improving with the vaccine please please please continue to be careful. I have seen healthy 16 year olds suffer major long term problems from this illness, never mind all tbe oldies with previous medical conditions. Please be safe and please if you feel safe enough to do so get the vaccine. If not for you, but those around. I will be posting regularly from now as i have some free time. Feel free to message me if you need anything. Much love- Ty

If they would’ve told me that my first nursing year was going to be this crazy, I simply would’ve not believed it! But I have to say that regardless of the fear and the craziness of it all, I am honored to be part of the front force against this pandemia! Please do your part and stay home, call your PCP before you rush to the ED, the ED should be only for ppl that absolutely needs it! Stay safe people! . . . . . . #covid_19 #nurselife💊💉 #corona #coronavirus #murse https://www.instagram.com/p/B-VlbpvHcG8/?igshid=1ieygxtdt7y77

Please don't call 999 or your local emergency number if you are having mild symptoms of corona or a similar disease such as flu. The emergency number should only be used for life threatening situations and there are not enough ambulances and crews for that matter to get to you in a timely manner. Please be considerate to those who need it.
For context, london ambulance service on average in my experience receives 5000 calls a day. Last week it was reported there has been a increase to over 9000. With 999 calls waiting up to 9 minutes to be answered. For comparison, patient in cardiac arrest has around 10 minutes of oxygen in their body before brain damage commences.
Please be considerate
Call when you need to in a emergency
Stay safe. Stay at home
Love you all x
